So what happens if part of the building is damaged and that damaged the system ?

If there is enough damage to the building, they won't go in at all. Otherwise, they will have to use the old method of carrying extra air up the flights.

It's surprising that a burning office chair has the same power as 375 2 kilowatt electric heaters. That would heat your room warm and toasty in no time!

Now, when you apply Common Sense and Logic to this demonstration, you realize that the firefighter shouldn't be there. They should be outside that room or outside the structure applying water to the burning material through the door or window to eliminate the combustion and cool the gasses. The firefighter in that demonstration is accomplishing nothing and unnecessarily exposing themselves to a deadly threat. By eliminating the threat before an entry team can be assembled, get fully dressed and get the front door open, you are Protecting the victims and the entering firefighters.

@@Taioron The main assessment is the thrill factor of being in a burning room. Don't kid yourself. You eliminate the main threat from outside and then go inside with a line to further Protect the victims and firefighters. When they find a victim on night cloths with fire all around, their heroics isn't going to do the victim any good.
@JB91710
@JB91710 2 года назад
@@Taioron A FOLLOWER needs certificates on the wall from an instructor before they will FOLLOW them. Have you ever tried THINKING and evaluating what your heroes tell you to think? You Still can't tell me where and how I am wrong. If I'm wrong then UL and ISFSI are wrong so why don't you go and tell them? No, I don't Follow them, they happen to use Common Sense and Logic also, so our thinking is alike. Search and heroic Rescue takes TIME the victims don't have. They are being Threatened by combustion. A burning room can be seen from outside. You can easily, quickly and safely vent the fire directly though those windows and away from the unburned parts of the structure and away from the victims, and using Tank water, you can put the fire out through those windows faster than you can get fully dressed, assemble and entry team and get the front door open so you can go inside to Play The Hero. Two Dimensional Reactors just run in, grab the victims and run out without THINKING about how much TIME it takes and how the fire will grow and threaten the victims and the "Heroes" going in. Those non-thinking heroes don't think about their families when they do that or when they climb on the roof of a burning building to cut holes which only make the fire spread throughout the entire house and turn a contents fire into a structural fire. Oh and, that spreading fire burns all the victims it runs into on the way to that hole in the ceiling and roof. Primary Search! Secondary Search! How about, "Put The Damn Fire Out?", NOW, not when you are done playing the hero.

This is another reason why All Visible Burning Material must be extinguished FIRST in all situations. The heat and smoke are the Threat! Eliminate The THREAT! Venting the fire room window and applying water through it is the fastest and safest way to do this. Anything else is a Threat to victims, fire fighters and the structure! Too bad No One is going to read this or make Intelligent and mature comments.
@JB91710
@JB91710 5 лет назад
Just add more water, add it faster and use common sense and logic to apply it. Also, you extinguish all Visible Burning Material from outside Before you go in. Dah! ru-vid.com/group/PLkp0E1ao1XEw35c4z-PSM0hoKYiMLpHJC

I've been educating myself on basic firefighting technique to gain an understanding of what's effective, and to avoid mistakes brought on by panic and misconception. I've seen several videos and read reports on how quick wind can make a situation spiral out of control. I'd really like to go on a respectful ride-along with FDNY EMS services someday if that's still possible.
