As a Magpies fan, it was fascinating to hear about the strong footy culture in Fremantle. I can see why the AFL granted them a team licence. I’ve visited Fremantle and it’s a beautiful town. Highly recommend a visit. The Fremantle Market is particularly nice.
A pity this breakfast show never lasted. Tim Hammond was an affable host but nothing could compete with 9's Today Show back then. That said, even this 32 year old episode is better than any Sunrise show featuring that douche named 'Kochie'..
Mallee area is great. The footy was fantastic back then-A Grade, B Grade and Colts. There was Lameroo South and North, Parilla, Wilkawatt, Pinnaroo, Murrayville, Ngallo. The best people and sport. Cheney's Bakery in Lameroo had the tastiest pastys in the state.
In April that same year, I was really pissed because McDonald’s were providing Aladdin toys with their Happy Meals when I feel like they should’ve been providing Star Wars toys as it was around the time the original Star Wars trilogy was remastered and rereleased at the cinemas.
Ian Chappell is a great Human. Ian is a very decent, kind and caring person. Ian is a genuine, sincere and very nice man. Ian is very grounded and down to Earth, he's very natural. Ian has empathy with his fellow comrades. Ian is the voice of justice and right. Media bosses and their editors always interview Ian Chappell to get his opinion on serious matters. Ian Chappell led the rise of the Australian cricket team, the fight for better pay for the players, and professionalisation of the game through WSC. I was lucky enough to meet Ian Chappell at a social function, where he showed genuine interest in me, the waiters and bar staff. Ian made everyone feel important. In Australia we call this type of man "A Top Bloke"
@@BoxofficeForney6969 Fitzroy and North Melbourne both agreed to merge. Fitzroy is literally 5 minutes away from Fitzroy. The Club Presidents then voted and declined the merger and instead sent Fitzroy to QLD a 20-hour drive away. Most Fitzroy fans do not support Brisbane. The NTH merger made far more sense than what the Brisbane Merger was.
The golf segment of the report reminded me of Chasers war on everything "shit boring golf classics" "now with our new fairway cam makes it nye impossible to see the ball" "hole after hole of uneventful moments" 😂
Interesting to see that the news anchor exchanges between Adelaide and Austin stations kept going occasionally, after Anne Fulwood had done a similar one (with the same US station, albeit ADS-7 having been involved then) a decade earlier.
