So you did a great job with the review! I told some of the scenes with my dad what happens in this movie and he thought it sounded kind of creepy! I saw this movie as well! Going into this blindly having knowing nothing about this movie! I was thinking of this idea for an episode where the main character’s dog gets stolen by two cult leaders who are naked and the cults supports a tree! Also I wanna name the episode “the house of the cult” You can guess what’s that’s a reference to! Also after the main character kills the man cult leader the woman cult leader eats his heart and turns into a creepy angel to kill our main character!
The funny thing with people missing the point of Gundam, is that most of the fans that try to gatekeep actually understand that Gundam is anti war, and that politics is a vital part to it. If anything something I notice a lot, is that they kinda do a separation between fiction and reality. Where they basically may accept concepts of anti war and equality on paper, but then they do not equate discrimination of cordinators to e the same thing as discrimination of the lgbtq for example. So it's like, many of those fans may emphasize with the story for the story's sake, but wont bother using it as a source of wisdom, nor reflect on the nuances that the franchise may present in comparison to things that can be seen in real life. Thus people may still act tribal, and may still be compelled to discriminate others that they dont think belong in their group, in spite of the irony that the media they are fan of explicitly has the message that we gotta stop doing those kinds of things.
Why do projects have to become franchises? Gundam has been a franchise for over 40 years. Its success is attributed to its growth. It's not like the original series was the golden origin and that it's been downhill ever since. Americans didn't even start getting invested in Gundam until Gundam Wing, a spiritual spin-off series entirely divorced from the original Gundam timeline. You can still appreciate the Gundam shows and movies as art AND still recognize it as a franchise with an expanding/evolving fandom. If a fandom grows, its prominence increases for more projects, and the chance to connect with others over it creates a greater social experience. It also makes for a less insular group of those who appreciate it.

To play devil's advocate about the Ducktales thing in Black widow. It's not a nitpicking plotpoint for when you grew up in the Netherlands in 1995. Because the Disney afternoon or 'Disney festival' as it was called their. always had a mix of the old Dinsey shorts of Donald, Goofy, Mickey and Pluto. Along with shows like: Gargoyles, Aladdin, rescue rangers, Gummi bears, Goof Troop AND Ducktales. But, I know, the movie is set in America 1995, NOT the Netherlands, 1995. But I just wanted to share that little bit of history.
We had something similar with The Disney Channel, where a lot of Disney afternoon shows would first debut and then remain in reruns for many years after cancelation. It's hard to believe that a suburban middle-class family would have that channel, though. Premium cable was still a luxury at the time and my taste of the Disney Channel came in the form of the regular "preview week," where cable providers would temporarily unblock The Disney Channel to let the young basic cable audience see what they were missing and maybe beg their folks to upgrade their cable package. Since ABC and syndication was still running all of the Disney stuff, there wasn't much of a point in buying a rerun channel.

I still crack up when I watch Revenge Of The Nerds. Something I'd like to point out. RotN has a running time of 90 minutes. The jocks pick on and torment the nerds for the first 45 minutes of the movie, with absolutely zero provocation. It's not until after the 45 minute mark that the nerds "problematic behavior" begins. Had the jocks just left the nerds alone, there would be no issue. Of course that would mean that there's no reason to get revenge, and therefore no movie.
I didn't see what the purpose of nit-picking the movie for the smallest problems was. Who cares if Tim was a terrible person and still didn't put a stop to the trafficking. The movie focuses on the truly awful and horrific problem that's growing larger everyday and that's all they were going for, I didn't see any right wing conspiracies.
These are not nit-picks. Tim sucked at his job, his organization made massive errors, their tactics were god-awful, and the mission in the film was highly fabricated. Yeah, child trafficking is awful, and that's the point in bringing up Tim's scummy strategies and controversies because he's not helping, and this movie wants you to believe that he is. If the only bar a film needs to cross is that it reminds you child trafficking is a severe issue, please go watch You Were Never Really Here. It not only crosses that low bar you've set for Sound of Freedom, but it also has a more remarkable performance by Joaquin Phoenix, fantastic direction by Lynne Ramsay, and isn't based on a scumbag grifter.

Honestly: I see what do you mean by how: neurodiversity vs cure looks like As an Asperger born in 00's, My parents have very different live, personnality and way of thinking. Dad was patient while my Mom is the unstable one. They have very both different way of interracting with me. Dad always act jolly and thougful. when I talk about Electricity and Volcanology. And even Tom & Jerry at some points. He always encourage me to persus my dreams or little progress of adultehood like having a first job or simple task. Mom is different. She's kinda coleric at that time and act very menacing when is said or did something bad or unapproprite. Sometimes I barely ask her too much question. And when she goes with an another man. It will became really tricky. And turn into really disturbing shits... And as it goes on. She will be very abusive (verbally and phychologicaly toward my (sister and I). So I was left with anxious compulsive behaviour, paranoia, and even suicidal thougth. And when it happened. My mom find my behaviour erratic and worrying. And had stoped working for: (Be there for pick me up after a melt down "becaused it happened everytime") So I have an constante felling of been a burden When my father die. I had very strange behaviours. Dû too an incident with seroquel and grief. And even Her was not helpful, gasligth/insulted me when I heard "false stimuly" and even turn into bullying, violent argues and I'm the problem because I don't give her the consent too Gave the number of "My" social caregiver to my aunt. I'm autistic and I never masked myself, I sometimes maintain eye contact (mostly fictional characters), I cant help but move around because I don't like standing still, and I don't like wearing clothes most of the time because of how it feels on my skin. I was gonna review Music (2021) but I didn't had anything because that movie fucking disgusts me. And it's hard finding a good representation of autism in media, and when people do, they're not confirmed that said characters are autistic. My friend on Tumblr, Dr. Spectre made a post about three characters from Splatoon who have autism traits, and those characters being Harmony, Marina, and my splatoon waifu Marie, those three characters (even though they're not confirmed to be on the spectrum) have traits an autistic person would have, it's not just a stereotype like some of the movies in this video. It seems like without a Michael Bay Transformers film or an Adam Sandler movie, they seem lost. And even then, it’s still lazy and desperate. Hell, they don’t even go after the God’s Not Dead people and spend most of the time picking movies that were at best meh-ish. Hell, this year they decided to give a quote-on-quote special Razzie achievement award to Disney for their 100th centennial because they had a couple of box office failures throughout most of 2023 and CEO Bob Iger’s ignorance during the writers and actors strikes last year. Just blatantly jumping on the bandwagon for clout chasing and relevancy.

Technically, in the sense that there are no scenes during moments of fully undressed insertion. But in terms of foreplay and post-coital moments, those scenes are wicked sexy and incredibly erotic.
I'm not watching Inside Out 2 because Inside Out was structured as a standalone movie but the Pixar executives want to use the IP to milk out revenue. Inside Out had that one scene during the credits where the audience looks into the mind of different demographics and animals and only the core 5 emotions are there. Putting that aside, I'm not keen on watching the same plot again with a less impactful ending. Moving on from your childhood was a strong premise, I'm not so keen on how corporations view puberty personally as a young adult, so I'd probably be bored watching it. Maybe children will love it, but then again children love anything flashy so that's pretty much a certainty. Groaning aside, there's going to be a 3rd film focused on Riley's young adult years if we're following Riley's life.
