lol I’m sitting here thinking “oh yeah it’s a nice deck but really isn’t much red-eyes it seems,” turn away for a few seconds, and then turn back only to see 2 flare metals as well as dragoon 😂 gonna hold my tongue till the end of the video
@@thebrainbag3506 😂 unfortunately you can make red eyes end boards like that with just red eyes cards, which tbh is a little messed up but Konami doesn’t care about red eyes
@@matteodibe5085 ravine is access to either tempest which is a free level 7 or you can send absorouter which gets you a rokket. Tempest is a free level 7 so you can make flare metal 😊
I run a very similar deck as a rank 7 XYZ spam deck and after watching your videos I tried including the White Forest cards but I feel it drops my consistency too much. Really cool idea though.
@@Danlight1911 yeah I think if you’re playing more rank 7 spam it doesn’t help with that, but for me I like different layers of interaction and more possibilities so it suits me more.
if youve got spaces in the ED open (mirrorjade/rindbrum/sprind), a single albaz can mean several points of interaction for a combo-heavy opponent if magnamhut wouldn't help you survive the turn: hieratic seals is a bounce that can summon albaz, albaz is an enemy-fuse that can make either mirrorjade or sprind (depending on enemy board), and if you summoned MJ, MJ can send rindbrum for a banish, which can net another albaz-fuse later for the sprind (sprind has it's own movement-removal effect, but i find it doesnt get to come up all that often when ive got other plays to make) main hitch is that if you've got the buster ED lock in place, MJ isnt of much use unless they spend removal for that (which i mean hey, redundant defenses is nice on its own to eat opponents cards)
@@leafgreenbeast have you watched my other videos 👀 I totally agree my dude, seals into Albaz is a fantastic option if the opponent just normals then tries to combo rather than just hitting over the spheres!
@@FingersCrossed i recall learning it from a ghostpeppa video/combo breakdown, but i'd assume there's a lot of cross pollination for little tech and such
@@leafgreenbeast yeah I was only joking bud, I learnt the albaz summon from another yt channel long ago 😅 and I decided on sprind, mj and rindbrumm as they are the best options if it’s just a small part of the deck
For spells and traps i can understand why you would have them in. BUT...the deck was suppose to be what Rex Raptor would use Today. No anime character would use meta staples.
Original Red-Eyes art work is the best and you can't tell me other wise! Love the deck profile. I want to try this out edit: any reson for DRNM instead of Forbidden Droplet?
@@neospacianmigz I do like the yap1 art but the original is probably my favourite also Just because we don’t really have the cards to discard for droplets, we need them to try to play
since i play a burn variant, hes a great sort of central guy, since fusion makes him named red-eyes b. dragon, so inferno fire blase deals 3500 a pop. i usually run more into the issue of never summoning slash dragon (esp. going first) since it's a fair bit more difficult to get an equip onto him for the negate without having also searched RE with chain precisely (in MD you can striker it in the striker->verte line, but that same line will deprive you of hieratic dragon, which can hold a ton of points of interaction by itself) this would of course a nonissue if they'd unban dragoon tho
Dont forget to let me know what you think of the new tech Ive added to boost the power of red eyes! Combo video coming soon and maybe some locals matches if you guys are up for it?
@@chelseafcfanisy good point, I don’t think it matters much personally as you’ll have plenty of dragons in grave and obviously Romulus is a wind also. I’m not the biggest fan of rokket red eyes anyway I have something spicy coming up for us red eyes fans
I love the list and the combos, just wondering why no Scraps, and how do you feel about crossout becuse a lot of the times my opps just ash the ovi on normal summon and i just have to pass.
@@ivankovacevic2450 I think the scrap stuff is win more now that there’s no savage or barrone so it’s not needed in my opinion, and crossout is a good option as we can play a lot of hand traps in the deck anyway you might want to look at doodle beast stego because if you get ash’d on ovi then you can at least special it and make s:p or something
@@FingersCrossed Thanks for the answear, I totally forgot about stego. Any advice on what to cut from the deck for the crossouts. I am playing you list.
what do you think of a red eyes metal morph build. With soul you could cheat out Red-Eyes Archfiend. Which can be used as tribute for the other new metal morph monster giving 2 monster pops. and there would be a lot of search power from both sides and some synergy.
@@pershingdoughboy i do like the new red eyes monster and the trap but I don’t think I’d play anything else maybe 1 zoa for a free body. I’m not a big fan of soul tbh and if you played archfiend it’s another brick in an already bricky deck. I’m just hoping they make a red eyes structure deck with finally some really good cards like what blue eyes is getting
@@pershingdoughboy I did sit and write some ideas out just wasn’t sure how popular of a video that would be, I would like another boss monster or fusion spell tbh ref just isint great as it locks you out of any other summon and red eyes need a better boss monster besides flare metal and dragoon
currently toying with a synchro variant using a small resonators (2-3 vision, 1 soul, 1 synkron, 1 crimson gaia, considering 2-3 resonator call) and bystial package, using 3x black stone of legend to get into various levels (can tag into a 6, 7, or 10 easily, and a 4 if you run a potential brick in red-eyes gearfried) as the main normal summon. - interestingly, there's a real consideration for tagging black stone into black meteor (to keep it level 6) - the bystials jump from hand/dont eat normal summons, have a decently low level for synchroing, and give more recursion/draw with regained (and potential enemy-turn synchro with etude, if you run that). - of the resonators used, only soul causes the dark-lock (and doesnt include the dragon-lock) so they're largely free-to-use. i'm playing around with having some red resonators to go with black stone/black metal, but not locked in yet also giving cards like assault synchron (generally useful), rokket synchron (can grab material from grave), and hop ear squadron a look (enemy turn synchro handtrap, helps dodge removal), but havent really settled on them as of yet.
@@leafgreenbeast yeah I played a synchro version for a little bit but since the Barrone ban the end board is just not as good and the follow up isint great also
@@FingersCrossed dis pater can sorta work in place of baronne thanks to the bystials getting stuff into the banished zone (and is a dark/dragon/synchro for any potential resonator locks) also since i play largely in MD, baronne isnt banned there so he's still a viable option but yeah def not in paper
@@leafgreenbeast I don’t play red eyes much on md because there’s no alternative dragon. The problem with dis pater also is that you need you opponent to have banished cards to negate and unfortunately with the meta being very fire heavy it’s difficult to banish their cards
There are so many red eyes mechanics but the two main I primarily use are burn and the equip mechanic, but more so the burn mechanic. I run literally all red eyes monsters, two bystial dragons, red eyes and generic spells, and like four red eyes traps. How do you feel about the red eyes gearfried and the equip mechanic with him, black metal dragon, the kunai trap, and the slash dragon fusion? Any tips? Would love to discuss. Sorry for the long comment, just new to your channel 😅
@@thebrainbag3506 no problem at all bud, I haven’t tried the equip version out tbh because it just seems a little slow and most of the locals in my area are very competitive. I do like the burn build and it is very funny but again is not the most competitive build I will hopefully do videos on each variant playing them at locals and filming them I’m just working on a good way to do it so that it’s entertaining and not too long
@@FingersCrossed I respect the grind. Local duels and running a youtube were two things I wanted to do growing up so I commend you for what you’re doing. And yea, the equip build is fun and cool if you can get the right cards, but yeah very slow, definitely could not compete. The burn mechanic is just too funny and I feel like the best option if you wanted to run strictly more red eyes cards
Really good build I like playing it with dragon rulers it's really fun Kash probably better tho lol😅 I also really like these new cards they give me another end board option and sometimes u just have a random dragon laying around so it's perfect
First test hand, you can actually play a bit better through ash cause mercourier is a decent high spirits target considering you have the kit in hand. Aluber grab high spirits, use it to send merc + rindbrum, add albion, albion send albaz draw 1 (since you have albaz + rindbrum in grave you have follow-up), special kit, add brafu or opening. If you add opening you send back the the draw you got with albion, use opening send retrib, special quem to get access to branded fusion this way (foolish the brafu and add back with retrib). This way you at least have a rindbrum + quem setup for next turn even if your brafu does not resolve. If brafu resolve, you send albaz + lubellion, make albion, banish merc + albaz, make lubellion, c1 lubellion c2 merc add cartesia, make mirrorjade, tribute albion, lubellion set lost, effect of cartesia special summon, make gran, add second merc with lost, etc
It's helpful to see your thought process. If possible, it'd be nice to have a follow-up video explaining alternative combos after getting handtrapped (ie through ash, imperm, or nib).
14:15 Not really to be honest, Big Eye can't attack the turn it steals a monster. Nice deck profile. I'm testing the new Metalmorph engine revealed to come by october with proxies. Hopes it helps further the pure Red eyes decks.
Hey genius how the hell you gonna fusion summon dragonmaids sheou and house without “dragonmaids” monster you need dragonmaids monster in order to fusion summon them next time read the requirements “genius”
@@Fredy-l6i you should probably read the card duality “genius” before you start becoming a keyboard warrior “genius”. Go read cards before you start typing next time “genius” 🤣
Hello, and congratulations!!! Do you have the possibility to make a video on the combos of the deck? or do you have a discord to exchange with the winner
Some interesting options here worth considering. I've looked into Flame Swordsman and Buster blade variants too. I've been trying to perfect a red-eyes deck, while somewhat sticking to the deck's core theme of burn for a secondary win condition. Some tech for you to consider if going down that route: (stick to one copy, as the deck has enough bricks as it is so always a good single draw) - Magicalized fusion (run a single copy, as opening this with red eyes meteor dragon is a free Dragoon) - Dragon's mirror (one copy, another way to utilise dragons in GY for fusion summoning) - red-eyes archfiend of lightning (works well with dragon's mirror to make archfiend black skull dragon. you can summon it from GY off metal flare too as it's considered a normal monster in the GY. Great option to send with insight too. Only downside is it can't be used with red eyes fusion unless it's on the field as not considered a normal archfiend in the deck) - Inferno fire blast. Not exactly a tech, but running 2-3 copies have won me a few games - risky brick though. - Saga of the dragon emperors (nice for battle phase, quickplay and revives dragon XYZ too) Red eyes soul situationally is amazing as can be summoned off hieratic seals for a once per duel effect of inflicting burn. Alternative black dragon once destroyed revives a red eyes black dragon with double ORIGINAL attack, which is a rare clause probably intended for red eyes soul effect as it only considers original attack (4800 burn is huge) I'm also throwing in 3x chamber maids with 1x dragon maid changeover for acess to even more fusion options. So far pretty good success! Just researching some better draw options, as allure of darkness banishes from hand which doesn't work well with magicalized fusion or dragon's mirror.
Yeah I have thought about a flame swordsman variant but both require normal summons unfortunately so I’m not sure they will work as well as we would like and would just be a fun option. I like all your options but I think the best variant available to us until red eyes gets support is kashtira, although I will be trying a rokket variant suggested by a subscriber who sent me a decklist on Instagram to try. That video is coming in the next few weeks
I don’t think it is better unfortunately it’s a more bricky build but it is really fun to play and they do mesh well together just like I said it’s very bricky Red eyes slash is too slow unfortunately imo
The Ostinato combo is supposed to stop nib but the way you are doing it plays into nib. When you get your vortex on board, it has no pendulums in the extra deck to return for the negate.
