I was was expecting to see more of the island and the resort NOT a lady romanticising life for her own ego feeding sake 🙄🙄🙄🙄 . . Photography is quite good though
@briceferrestudio you take some really cool shots in your videos. Idk if I can do the same with my Canon M50 Mark 2 it's so big. That I just use either my phone or dji action 4
Nice! So glad this video helped you pick. Yes, the 100K felt like a 50 miler with a tiny bit extra, but it was really manageable. You're gonna love it!
@@briceferrestudio was a great day! I ended up being around you a ton. Saw lots of clips of me either behind or in front of you. We finished within minutes of each other.
You just brought back a shit-ton of incredible memories from what's now my favourite 100k race! Congrats on your sub-14 hr finish...absolutely incredible and inspiring! Was a pleasure to race alongside and cross paths with you on course! 👏👏👏
I don't think anyone could fake either of our reactions when I saw you! 😂 What a fun ride! Somehow we keep seeing each other around the 25-30k mark at these events. Looking forward to the next one.
@@briceferrestudio 🤣 I believe we all can admit that if it was not for the velvety goodness of creme fraiche, none of us would be where we are today. 🙏
Great video and congratulations... logistics question. At the top of NK when the water was shut off, why did you choose to hike to the office instead of back down to Supai Tunnel, or was the water off there also? (this being the internet... asking honestly as adding distance is always challenging)
Hi! that's a good question, i think we thought the office was the closest source (although return trip was probably close to same distance than supai tunnel) and we just wanted to have a break at the top, but needed water? HOnestly we didn't even think about it. I think we had our mind set on getting water at the top, so we did 😬
@@briceferrestudio Thanks for your reply. I totally understand that, at that moment, getting water was your primary objective. Evaluating options with "trail brain" and limited sleep is challenging too - having been in that mind-state a few times myself. Did R3R a few weeks back and only stayed at North Rim long enough to take a picture. It was cold and windy and I wanted to get back into the protection and warmth of the canyon as soon as I could.
Whatsup Brice, how are you? my self aniket a professional video editor. i just wanna ask, do you need a video editor for your youtube videos. i can edit your videos if you give me permission.
Haha. Maybe I should have, yes. It would have been fun. Not sure about the algo, but I've decided to create the video I wanted to see first, and worry about the algorithm later.
Thanks for filming and posting this video! I’m prepping for my first 25K and was looking for some video of the course, what I found was even better. Super inspiring to see you supporting her and to see how strong she is! Super adorable. Thanks for the effort and inspiration.
My first visit to Milford sound was onboard the Viking Sun in 2019 and second visit was onboard Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas last February so yes New Zealand in general is my favorite place to vacation. Thanks for making and posting this video showing this perspective.
We loved New Zealand, so many incredible landscapes and sceneries. We planned a bit too late to go on a boat tour of the sound this time, but it sounds amazing l!
Landscape porn! Absolutely stunning. Thanks for sharing! About the bagpipe player... Groundskeeper Willie once said: Damn Scots, they ruined Scotland! 😄
This is hilarious! :) Thank you so much for the kind feedback! I always appreciate it when people take the time to write something to us. It always means a lot!
THE best R2R2R video on RU-vid!! You ladies are incredible athletes, especially in adding the climb and extra time/distance to get water at the top of the North Rim. Outstanding editing, footage, and I really appreciate all the talking updates. My daughter and I started running, but in only 1 direction, in 2015, and we did it 5 years in a row, starting on her 16th birthday (and the day after I turned 52). I've now done 12, and she joined me for another one in '22. I have some vids of our runs on the channel. Looking forward to going back this year, last weekend in May, for a Rim2River, and then in Aug. and Oct. for R2R's! Love running there. If you gals haven't discovered Liquid I.V., you might really benefit from it, especially the "Engergy Multiplier" flavor. For the bigger runs (like R2R) I add to the drink mix, 1 vitamin B complex 100 pill, and 2 magnesium lysinate (Doctors Best Magnesium from Ama z 0n) pills broken in half. It dulls the flavor a little, but makes for a great replenishment for the muscles. This, and GU Roctane, with, and without caffeine, have been my tool of choice for about 6+ years.
Congrats on your epic achievement. Very well documented. I'm planning on running rim to rim this late September or early October. The R3 was on my bucket list in 2020 but because of Covid that didn't happen. At 72, I just don't think I have the round trip in me anymore. I'm not a night runner. Again, great job!
Thank you so much for watching. I heard that doing the R3 in two days (with a night at the hotel half way) is a pretty great experience too. It would allow you to see the night sections in daylight, which is definitely bonus. I'm excited for you. You are gonna love it!
Thank you very much for watching. We shoot most of it with a GoPro 12, and the slow motion footage (120fps) as well as the photos are shot with my Canon R5. It usually has the 85mm f/1.2 on it or a 17-40mm f/4. You can see it in my hands pretty much all the time on these videos. The drone shots are taken with a Dji Mini Pro 3. Cheers!
