is it possible to live record audio on the fly from an external source, then slice and loop this audio pretty quickly inside one clip? Ideal situation would to be able to sample audio into a Slicer on the fly and then CV control the play back and gate sequence. I want to use this module as a live looper to sample, mangle and gate incoming audio on the fly.
hi steve. yestarday i bouhgt the bluebox eurorack. . just wanted to listen to the internal effects how they sound over my phones. the reverb is working eventho i hear a cklick while changing the reverb types, but my delay abslotely does nothing at all. i did also a firmware update, still the delay isnt working. i mean when my reverb is working the delay should, too right?? i see the knobs turning but i cant hear any delay. why is that??
Is the male USB-C plug inside the case "rigid"/fixed in position, or is it attached to a short flexible length of cable? I'd love to see a video showing a nanobox being connected and disconnected from the case.
At first i was like wow who in the world asks five hundreds for a mixer... turns out it's not just a mixer but basically a porta studio... with midi stuff that greatly appreciated. Gotta buy one now
Coming from Ableton Realm always missed a multiverse like this in combination with the bluebox , it shapes the way one can create and perform in all realms integrated into 1010Music Point Of view 😎 , plus its touch and with every update new realities unfold ...
Wow nice vid, I plan on getting the BB for connecting all my gear and sending it to my sp16 sampler. Then returning it back the the BB to record my live proformance. Can that be done ? I do believe so but like to hear your input before buying.. THANKS IN ADVANCE 👍👍👍
Just received one of these......you really must let people know about the power required for this !! 850ma @5v plus 12v !! I've had to upgrade whole skiff psu .......!
I’m trying to download the synthbox firmware however it’s a folder full of files. Should I create a bin file? If so how? It’s not very straightforward.
For me this is very disappointing. Only few parameters for sounddesign. And what about loop points for multisamples? I discarded the bitbox for the same reason. This devices mis the basic functions that samplers from the 80s had. No issue with some limitations but is too much even for me. not a sampler instrument. But just a poly sampler player and autosampler. The missing features prevent from making multiple great patches from 1 sample set. Start point modulation, loop points and an extra envelope at least. Even if it would reduce the amount of parts it could do. Until then....I am out
Whereas I really wish we had more things like this. For example I've dreamt of a hardware thingy that can play back my fav plugin libraries without bring the macbook. Plug and play. Switch on. Play. This I miss. You can buy say a nord of some sort as a rough example but with this and a decent midi keyboard you're set and can have lovely pianos to hand. That's my read. I think this has been missing from the market way too long and hope it inspires more manufacturers to expand on the idea
If you have to complete it on the computer who needs the novation? For an example like this I would have used and IPhone and assigned it a duty, you would had to use a Bluetooth splitter which would have been more informative. Just an observation. I have a black box and love it but I think this demo showed a lot of extra work when there didn’t need to be. Plus you have to have a novation! Everyone has a phone.
The Launchcontrol offers a more tactile approach as opposed to the Bluebox's touchscreen. An iPhone is just another touchscreen, which is fine if you love touchscreens.
dear 1010 music, is it possible to record drumloops with a different meter- for instance in 10/8? I just got a micro and it seems to me as if I can only record 4/4 rhythms. or is it possible to initiate recording via trigger input??? that would be a workaround
How about sequencing the slices? I expected this to just work but apparently not? That’s an obvious feature that should have been implemented in the slice mode. At least a way to easily chop those slices up so they can be sequenced as pads…
