If you push both the left & right (+ and -) buttons at the same time for a couple of seconds on the display. It gives you access to the 'P' settings. Ive turned off the regenerative braking and unlocked the speed. Now all i need to do is fit a carbon bar and a steering damper i purchased recently and hopefully that's it. My perfect high performance e'scooter or portable EV.

Don't just cut the white wire (speed sensor) and be done. That module just adds a relay switch, unnecessary and possibly harmful to the battery and speed controller. That cheap remote is going to die and you have to use it every time you turn the scooter on. That wire stripper has a wire cutter on it, people are going to slice themselves open with that utility knife. Harmful modification

good idea, but I'd rather feed it directly to the display than destroy the cable :) And the best thing is to go directly to the scooter to the controller.
worse than the original imo. Too big, and the selector/throttle looks like it's from a 2000s medical aid thing. But i'm more of a minimalist. i was offered it for free when i bought my vsett 8+, but i said hell no.
Really? I have the 8+ and I hated the old display, it looked like a little kids toy spy watch, why was it a circle? It looked ugly so I bought the new one and I do hate how the throttle piece does look like a creepy medical device, like why does it look like that? It even has a symbol with a picture of the throttle on it that glows rainbow and it does absolutely nothing. I also like minimalistic designs to but I like the new display better than the old one
More like getting pulled over for having high powerd scooter and they can not go more then 50km/h and they meant be used in Private property only and never used them around most of public areas aee eizky being caught red handed and by rifht most of the spps with speed limter ahould be banned dor good and its not worth watung money on toward the government and shotes are giving out hefty fines or impounded e scooters
Not sure about that. Maybe I'm missing something but it seems to still have all the indicators of the old display, including lights, odometer, battery, speed, cruise. What else is it missing?
@@Zam1FearOld one had voltage meter on the card reader. The new one has the card reader built into the display, I just got my new display and it seems like you have to toggle through the menu to access the voltage. Also I've heard that sun glare is still a problem on the new one. I fell with my vsett about 1,5 months ago and the throttle and display took most of the damage and broke off its mounts. With the new one being in the middle it seems more secure if you fall so that's good.
@@escobar1656 its not possible without cutting white cable. You have to cut the signal cable. 1. Cut cable 2. (optional, makes it easier later) solder longer cables. 3. Solder on/off switch between wires. 4. Glue switch where ever you want 5. Done
@@McKuc ty, i dont know much about electricity but to remove stock speed limit you just need to disconnect one (idk how you call it on english, but one connection, on white cable) and my logic without knowledge about this is telling mi that there must be a way to put some type of switch/interrupter where i disconnected that one cable.. Right?
