You're welcome Mike! Thank you for the compliment about the models. The X-Type was fantastic to drive. Comfortable and the sound of the roaring cat. And the design was of course amazing. I got a lot of compliments about the good looking car when I was parking at the supermarket and elsewhere. It was an amazing experience ... but the costs, ouch! I am remembering at the beginning I was thinking to better go for a 2.0 if I can still find one but then because I saw it costs the same for the insurance then I thought "oh the 3.0 is also alright then" - but of course the parts are even more expensive. But I bet the parts for the 2.0 aren't so much cheaper because Jaguar made it hard to know the Mondeo part number. I can remember that from my mechanic here - so when they were unsure they were rather deciding for something with the CS-code. That's perhabs what made my experience so costly.
I might even put some of my childhood toy cars on some time. Its always been a consideration that i would at some point. Time limitations intervene but i may have to make the effort i didn't know if they would have enough interest but they may be of interest to you. Nice P38 Range Rover. The Last Range Rover to have its own chassis. Nice Bedford CF van (Blitz) The MK10 Jag colour change model is an interesting one. A nice collection Sven and thanks for the mention. Good Morning Glyn! This sounds like an amazing idea. Old toy cars are also having their big charme. Unfortunately I don't have any from that time - except 2 that I bought later on ebay. But the prices went up for these old things. I find the model car stuff interesting for the time when I can't go on a classic car show. So when I read about the strong rain for Sunday then I was thinking "hey, why not filming something about your model cars?" and so did I. The Range Rover is one of my oldest pieces in the 1/18 scaled collection. When I did hold it the first time in my hands I was only "wow" because of its sheer size. But I also do remember about the real car - it was so much bigger than the first generation. The Bedford CF is really looking wonderful in this colour combination. I also always liked the design of these. Here it was badged as Opel Bedford Blitz but I am knowing all of them were built in UK. It didn't had as many sales as the VW Transporter and the Ford Transit but it was still quite often to see - but the VW & Ford was way more popular. The Fish'd & Chip'd model from Hot Wheels that resembles the Jaguar MK10 Coupe is really interesting. I read that Mattel tried to get an official license from Jaguar but they didn't get it. So they did minor changes that it becomes a "fantasy" car - I like the color shifting detail but it seems like it doesn't stay in the different colour for too long. Back felt terrible on Monday, yesterday it was so so ... today it feels alright again. Hope it will finally decide to stay in the "alright" mode. Back at work, yes, but also rain is back and we've not even 20 °C anymore. Last two weeks we had very hot weather (but also very humid).

The Jaguar X-Type from Maisto is really cool - I was looking for one for a nice price for several months and finally I found one and luckily I won the auction on ebay. Very happy about it. From Mai to July I also owned a real one - but yeah, like mentioned in the video it did almost get me bankruptcy, haha. But it was a very nice ride. The Range Rover is really huge. It was one of my first models that I bought around 10-15 years ago. AUTOart is really very nice about details - but also costly especially nowadays. The Bentley Continental GT I found in last year - when I saw the color then I really had to get it. Totally loving the tail light design. The Jaguar XJ6C from Matchbox is really great - I like this casting a lot and hope there will be also some re-colors in the future (and hopefully the stores will also sell Matchbox again because the most seem to don't have them anymore - so hopefully only a shortage from stock). Thanks a lot Justin! It's really a big boy. I was so impressed when I unboxed it. It's the biggest diecast model in my collection. I can also remember these vans (and light trucks with pickup-bed) when I was growing up. These were very typical on the roads here in Germany.
Very cool model that VW T4 minibus, and other people movers too. Used buses mostly in the 90's as well, only sometimes after that. One bus ride ended for engine overheating and bus dying on the road. All passengers were ordered out of the bus and waiting replacement bus to arrive :D
Thanks a lot my friend! Oh, it only happened once to me during the 90s on my way to the school that the bus broke down. There was a stone flying into the windshield of the bus. Then we also had to leave and wait for the replacement bus. But the interesting thing has been that the bus was fixed for the next day. So at the next morning the same bus was driving again. And it was for sure an older bus because I can remember it had the orange brake light. Must have been an early O305 because in the early 70s it changed to red brake lights. The O305 was built since 1969.

Thanks a lot for the challenge. I found out about it through Charles and then I thought I've the time so I am also just joining it. Finally I had the chance to free some of the models. The 1/18 scaled models are really amazing - I've around 100 pcs in this scale. But these cost a lot more and take more space. So currently I am more a hoarder in scale 1/64, haha. Interesting to hear about the engine of the Hong Kong bus.

@@retoyer The turntable already got on its limit with the Bremer Transporter from Mercedes-Benz, hehe. But these transporters are also really a sheer size - I've even one larger van that definately won't fit on the turntable: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w_BDl5OIlzg.html - when I unpacked this monster in scale 1/18 then I was totally blasted about the size. The T4 looks a nice model. I get to learn more about the T1.👍I think i've seen one of those world tour bus in the shops but didn't realise it was a treasure hunt model.
Good morning Glyn! The T4 model is really very nice - it's from KK-Scale and back then I got it for a small price on ebay (sold by Model Car World's merge-left store). The T1 can be also tricky sometimes to know the series. Some cars have some modification so it is not always so clear. And then there are the tail lights that also changed before some other things have changed. The Samba is also a very special model because it got the wider window on the door of the trunk before the ordinary Transporter/Bus got it as well. Kind of an evolution. But well, I try to remember about some details to get a conclusion about it and then checking on Wikipedia if I'm right (but sometimes I can be also still unsure about it). The Treasure Hunt model was really interesting. I only picked it up because I was thinking this might look good as decoration whenever I am really creating a diorama. And a few weeks later I saw someone doing a Short video about it so I knew it was a Treasure Hunt. The other person also bought it because of the Hot Wheels decals on the side and didn't know it was a Treasure Hunt. I guess the most Treasure Hunts I bought by accident. But yet I haven't found a Super Treasure Hunt. For Wednesday I am starting a British DieCast Car Challenge.

But I must also say that I tried them during the 10s and 20s and the comfort is so much different to back then. Maybe trains are seeming to be better, now. But buses are so much less comfortable, now. I can remember in the 90s and 00s there was also a big trend about minivans which is also a kind of "people mover". Nowadays these minivans and estates are replaced by SUVs and Crossovers.

That Mercedes Benz 300 SEL AMG is on absolute FIRE Bro, incidentally HW have an exact same casting in their lineup too and it's a hot favourite with collectors!! 🔥 Like 13, FULL WATCH 👍🏻
The red Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG is also a very famous car - it's the so-called "Red Pig". It was AMG's first car and they had great success in Spa back at the Francorchamps in 1971. The base of the car was the 6.3 L V8 and they increased the cubic capacity to 6.8 L and had 400 horse powers. 5 gears manual gearbox instead the automatic of the "ordinary" W109 300 SEL. It's a replica - I just found out the original got destroyed after it was no more needed when the reglementation was set down to maximum 5.0 L engines. Back then AMG was a motorsport company. The official cooperation with Mercedes started in 1990 and in 1998 it was completely acquired by Mercedes.
Liked the Alpina B10 at the start. Nice to see the NSU. The Datsun 200 has to be a rare machine. The xj6 and Silver shadow looked very smart. A lot of interesting cars.👍
The Alpina B10 was really something special. When I took the foto at the beginning I was thinking it is a BMW 5er but then I noticed it is even better than that. With the Alpina badge definately much rarer. These Datsun 200 are really rare. I only rarely see Japanese cars on these classic meets. In last year I've seen an orange Datsun 200. So the more happy I've been to see two side by side at this show. At the very end of the show I was also seeing an XJ40 (the one with the rectangular headlamps). Unfortunately the battery just went flat when I wanted to take a foto of it. But the more glad I've been to have the XJ6 and Silver Shadow. It was also great to see these side by side.
Muito obrigado! O VW Golf é sempre um carro muito comum nessas feiras de carros. O VW Passat e o Opel Vectra também eram carros muito populares, mas parece que eles não têm tantos fãs em manter um como um clássico. Então, estou muito feliz em ainda ver um. Esses carros que pessoas comuns dirigiam são algo que eu gosto muito. Tornando-se também muito raro porque algumas pessoas simplesmente se importam mais com um modelo específico. Então, aqui na Alemanha, os clássicos da VW são o Fusca e o Golf.
The Datsun 240Z/260Z were really amazing. Really a car I don't get often to see and this time even two. I only wished I would have taken the SD card out of my computer and putting it into the camcorder, haha. But a slideshow was also alright. At least the fotos are in a better resolution than when I am taking fotos with my camcorder. So the zoom in/out function is working on these fotos much better compared to the fotos I took at the retro classics expo.

Embora eu goste mais da primeira geração do Porsche 911, o 356 também é um Porsche muito legal que eu gosto muito. O que eu achei tão legal foi ver um 356 A Conversível e um Speedster. Finalmente estou reconhecendo as diferenças de ambos.
Os adesivos no Mercedes 300 SE estavam realmente muito bonitos. Carro lindo! Também me lembro que a Matchbox tinha um azul como este com o terceiro farol na grade.
