About 10 years ago, I woke up and started seeing a double. The doctor said it was a migraine. My eyes was straight. But for about 2 years my right eye started to run inside, the left is healthy, in the right there is a defect -0.75. It was found to be an adult's strabismus. And I'm afraid it's something else. How to convince doctors to further examination? brain scan? feels that I am not taken seriously.
Can we loose it...I remember having such kind of memory...In 10th grade I could remember pages relatively....Like a chain like ur flipping through the pages...then I could get a vague idea of where the answer was and how many lines/points/paragraphs were there and could seea few keywords...After sometime I discouraged myself from doing that because I felt it was really risky holding all that notes as pictures...Since then Ive lost it and recently have been trying to rewire my brain to do it...Can I get better at it than I was before...or am I trying in vain...Now Im in college...3-4 years have passed
Since I started wearing prism in 2017 I started at 2 base out for esotropia, I’m now 6.5 each eye for prism base out. Will it get stronger again next year?
If a patient is able to reduce, do the results last? Or is it only temporary? Must you continue the therapy lifelong? Why don't doctors talk about this???
I just don't understand why no one practices these kinds of techniques and why no one talks about reducing lense prescription if it indeed works. This sounds like a major breakthrough.
Hi there even though that page is being updated there are testimonials that mention it. Also there are a TON of case reports on this channel and I believe myopia has its own playlist. I also share weekly case reports to people subscribed to my email that often have myopia results. So there is no shortage of information on this. So I suggest you take a bit more time to look maybe starting here on the RU-vid myopia playlist . Thanks for your comment.
@@visontherapy I decided to call the #. I was interested in the services, The video says to call... so I called. I was explaining my interest,.. and the person hung up on me... ? Why is that... ?
My new eye doctor just diagnosed me with nystagmus a few weeks ago, but I've had symptoms my whole life, so he suggested it might be congenital. He was surprised that none of my doctors said anything before because it's so obvious just by watching my eyes for a few seconds. The main reason I don't play sports is because it's hard to track things, and it gets worse in the dark. I've gotten several injuries and am just clumsy in general because I can't track things and have trouble focusing on things. I'm starting vision therapy soon, so hopefully it will get better! Thanks for making videos so I can learn more about my condition! ❤
I have other issues that have messed with my sleep long before I used a computer or other devices. To be fair when I was younger, those devices weren't something you spent all day on and the internet was still pretty new. ADHD/Autism was the cause of my insomnia, still is lol.
I already had surgery twice. Once in the 90's, and once in 2021, unfortunately the second surgery did not stick nearly as long and that doctor no longer accepts my insurance so I had to see someone else who decided to try prisms instead of a 3rd surgery to see how they would work for me. As I am on Idaho Medicaid, I don't think we have adult vision therapy here, and even if we did, there is no way Medicaid would even pay for it when they only pay for vision if you have certain conditions such as in the realm of diabetes, strabismus (like myself), etc. The frames the even pay for are so terrible that they literally fall apart and I opted to pay $50 for a pair of glasses online instead to save myself the hassle. Vision therapy would not be something I could afford just for my extremely terrible eyesight that I've had issues with since I was 5 to come back later as I am disabled.
These videos are giving me hope. Our daughter has recently been diagnosed and her first prescription is already a -2.5. It seems very high to me giving they say she is reading at 20/40. She is only 4 and it's hard to know what she is really seeing. Can your therapy help someone so young?
In school would it just make sense to keep distance glasses on and remove them when reading or doing homework at home? Otherwise,I feel like it would be so much back and forth (glasses on and off) when at school.

Our daughter was recently diagnosed with myopia at age 4. We are told her vision is 20/40 in both eyes, but her prescription seems so high: -2.5 and -1.5. I am baffled at how high they are starting her. Can you help a child who is so young?
I just came down with this a week ago. Doctors don't have a clue whatay have caused it. I believe it was a trauma of some kind to the head. But what, idk.
Thank-you for explaining the base down prism for estropia. My eye has been crossing with horrible double vision since 2020. I did almost 2 years of weekly in office VT with lots of prescription changes. The first thing they tried was 2BD in each lens, they didn't explain why and I was afraid of adapting to the wrong direction. I made tons of improvement but I'm still unhappy with my vision because my fusion is still very inconsistent and they don't know what else to do other than use BO prism witch I HATE. Its reassuring that you say its safe and I wont adapt to it.
You are welcome. But you need further help. Please also bear in mind I would not personally recommend 2BD prisms but I cannot speak for your practitioner.
My son has duanes syndrome. His eye muscles are all good but one of his right eye nerve is underdeveloped. Because of that he is not able to move his pupil out to the right. Here in India they say vision therapy cannot be used to strengthen the nerve. Please opine what to do ma'am!
I got a concussion 2,5 months ago and I am still light sensitive and after focusing on screens, books anything close I start to have a headache and than after time I get vision problems. I will do vision therapy and also use glasses, but since I am trying to fully recover I am not planning to wear them forever only to be able to work and help my eyes in rhe meantime until I fully recover 😊

Hi Kay, it would require more information about your case be be able to say what is possible in your case. I would recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss what can be done. You can do so by visiting us at www.visionforlifeworks.com. Looking forward to seeing you on the schedule and hopefully we can help.

It takes more than those basic exercises especially in your case where you alhabs already had surgery. Please visit our website to schedule a consultation to discuss the specifics of your case. There is a good chance we can help you. Looking forward to seeing you on the schedule.
Interesting. There mustn’t be many good ones out there Considering the number of people we see after having had multiple surgeries. Besides, knowing actually that the surgery does nothing to change how the brain functions and that shortening the muscle to produce forced alignment is really a cosmetic procedure, it would be easy to see why that happens.
Hi Dr.Julie, My daughter is 3.5 years old and was diagnosed with intermittent exotropia a year ago. She currently has astigmatism and a bit of farsightedness so she was prescribed glasses. The same opthalmologist we're seeing said she doesnt recommend any vision therapy nor patch exercises and now says surgery is the way to go. Can you please share some of your expertise and give your thought on this? I feel like my daughter is still so young..does she still have a chance to grow out of this or self correct?
Odd that someone would recommend surgery as the way to go on one so young. Obviously parental your instincts tell you otherwise and i tend to agree with that instinct since I feel the same way about surgery considering the number of people I see that have had multiple surgeries often starting from an early age. If cutting the eye muscles it that effective they wouldn’t need multiple surgeries which is often the case. Imagine that your kid had poor sitting posture and instead of training them to correct it, someone tells you to make her have spinal surgery…. 🤷♀️
Thank you very much for your reply and love your analogy. Would ypu be able to guide me where I can perhaps get more information as to what types of training i can give to my daughter? I wish my opthalmologist is willing to try other options than to right off the bat say surgery 😢
Hi Dr. Julie. I was given a 12 diopter stick-on prism for one eye last year. I was excited to see straight and went on a 1 hour bike ride. I suddenly had extreme vertigo (world spinning), which I've never had before. After being rushed to the ER, I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease, and now I feel nauseous and dizzy all the time, and I have hearing loss. Have you ever heard of a prism triggering inner-ear / vestibular issues like this? Thank you!
Hi i am archana . Got one eye contura lasik done one month ago. But i am not able to focus on my daily life as i my both eyes are not connecting well. I am in panic situation and nervous please advise
Hi Maria, Yes and yes. We have helped many little ones of that age. However the first step is to schedule a consultation to discuss the specifics of your Kiddo. You can do so by visiting us at www.visionforlifeworks.com. Looking forward to seeing you on the schedule!
This is the cycle I’m in . Getting / needing new prisms a few times a year . The ins only covers yearly so I can’t afford this nonsense. My headaches are so bad now I can’t handle it.
We might be a able to help you get off the crazy bus 🚌 and get your vision to actually improve instead of throwing crutches 🩼 at you. Only thing is that this costs and we do not accept insurance.
