When do you people do this? Any certain time? Or day? I would be curious if I could hear you. I'm in central Arkansas. We run channel 35 lsb. The 270 radio group. Have a good day sir
I was late to the radio Sunday night and missed sideband Sunday, then totally missed out on radio all together on Wednesday night. Didn't get to my radio until 3:30am I don't know why everybody was gone LOL
I thought B&W just made things like induction coils and other parts; had no idea that they made a transmitter. Very nice set up. N8ZBR Between Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce, on Hutchinson Island. 😎
B&W made three different transmitters, 5100,5100B and the 6100. They also made a single sideband generator for the AM transmitters to do SSB. If you look at an earlier B&W video of mine there is a SSB generator which i no longer have.

That old radio in the picture to the left , looks like the kind you set and leave alone . And that I can imagine using . What is it ? Where could I obtain one ? I can’t wander outside the confines of the state of Pennsylvania but hey , I could with that thing .
The transmitter is a Barker & Williamson 5100B. made in Bristol Pennsylvania 1954. They are getting rare in good condition. I use it on all amateur bands and CB. It's not very hard to change bands and tune up. I restored the transmitter about 5 years ago completely and should work well for another 70 years. They don't make them like they used to.
Alert , the governor of Pennsylvania has signed into law , a measure that penalizes you for operating a cell phone or other device that requires taking one hand off the steering wheel . There was an accident on RT33 that prompted this action , and an a female attorney did this action this very morning . 6 June 2024 ! Limiting our federal 1st amendment rights . I hope someone challenges that new law ! How the hell are we drivers to respond to a state wide alert if one comes across ? Amber alerts , weather alerts , how about road conditions alearts from other drivers ?!
@@441BSA1968 you’re not hearing me , there are mobile radio users that listen to you over the air , and I’m one of them . This artical came out this morning from Shapiro himself and the pen dot branch in government .
You mean there is a North Carolina Knuckle Head? Same on the mess- LOL. I Wish I could have been in there, but I always run barefoot. Night Ranger was in the pumphouse .
@441BSA1968 10-4 north west Arkansas here. I'm waiting on a gtx-5000 to come in. I can't wait to join the wonderful world of classic radios! Arkansas Traveler, and we're waving!
I was 12 years old when I received my first CB radio at Christmas time. It was a Regency CR 123A AM only 23 channel radio. I have so many great memories with that radio during the popularity of CB radio in the mid-late 1970’s. I’m kicking 60 years old in the ass in a couple of months and I still have that radio. I should get it reconditioned and get it operational, I haven’t powered it on in over 4 decades.
@@441BSA1968 Hey, Spam Can again. You got a way I can get a hold of you other than CB and RU-vid comments? 🤣 I was hoping to maybe get an o-scope crash course from you if possible. If I recall correctly we don't live horribly far apart.
