I'm going to start watching these videos from the end first. If the video doesn't cut short and shows a detailed inspection of the repair, I'll then watch the whole video. This is the 5th video I've watched on RU-vid that dedicates about 5 seconds to the finished repair....There seems to be an obvious reason for that😡

So in vinyl repair, what we do is take a small amount right off the top. it doesn't take much. that's the warmest part right here. i'm gonna invert the spoon. cover all 9000s grains. aerate it. warm it up, driving up that top note. that cream. pure vinyl. sweetner. mmm that's a 10! and now you can call yourself a professional.
So I've got a bunch of cracks (but not all the way through) in the vinyl side of my leather topped driver's car seat... you referred to a series of cracks. Would I just apply the filler with no mesh, since the cracks don't go through? or would I slice it open and insert mesh behind the series? what is the product you used?
Wow, quite impressive. I have an '05 Jeep TJ Rocky Mtn that has the typical crack on the interior door panels. It's a much easier job than this. Thanks for posting this.
Can anyone explain to me the caps? I have a restoration shop. But I still do mobile work for my high end dealers (vinyl/leather repair and bumper) I still have my 3m 240 series with my accuspray 10g and 10gp guns. Using the purple and green cals with 0.9 and 1.3 tip. Could you explain what the different color caps are used for like the ones your using in this video and what which one I should use when spraying interior dye. This will help me out cause I'll be able to use my turbine for interior as well as exteriors.
I'm sure it is a good product and is worth it for many newer individuals. But I have been mixing by sight for about 30 years and can match most colors in about 2 or 3 minutes. Sometimes in under a minute. Can this cut my mixing time down much?
I have the 1st gen system. It's good product. But in the end you still have to add or remove some color to best match. But for the most time it's good and close enough. I've not tried the 2.0 system. Good luck
Guess this is all good, If you have a a small piece you can take off and do in a nice small controlled area. In the real world when you have a rip in something that can be taken apart this really isn't easy nor practical.

Sprayed way too much liquids and cleansers which will leave excess moisture inside and surrounding the cracks, this can easily result in poor results. Work slower, more carefully and only what you need to clean it off, not an entire sloppy wash.. you are experienced, most viewers have little or none, and I'm willing to bet that within time this whole restore falls apart. You also need to put wire support inside the broken pieces of foam in those wobbly panels.. then I'll be confident that this is a GOOD restore, but aside from that, everything you do and say is super valuable and right on. I just hope the speed of all this gets digested by your viewers, because its super fast and super valuable and super easy to miss all these very important directions your giving, give us more!
