The B-Boy Tech Report is the intersection where hip-hop and technology meets. The goal is to create an informative and entertaining blog space with a viewpoint slanted towards hip-hop culture for a niche market of electronic musicians / beat makers, related technology enthusiasts and of course those of us who enjoy hip-hop music. The blog features product reviews, artist / musician / inventor / product manager interviews, beat-making tips, tech articles & gear news.
@@Bboytechreport they would be right in thinking its a misnomer. its a tip not a hack, and barely a tip, anyone who needs this tip is not using cv outputs. you haven't hacked anything, its also in no way largely unknown, its a selling point. this new inMusic mpc community is regarded.
i wanted to hear the story about the tempest but these cats derailed that convo -- still a great session and happy to see mr. linn getting some screen time.
thank you for doing this!!! too many guitar reviews out there and i make hardware techno and house. "with drums you probably wanna go dumb" yes!!!! :-)
Hi dear Brother <3 I still love the MPC Ren have the feel of a MPC 3000 with it's looks, the only thing is that, AKAI abandoned us Ren & Studio users by not keep updating the driver for ASIO the latest is from 2014. So the only way to use the MPC Ren/Studio is to use a external soundcard and the ASIO4ALL driver, and all the functions of the internal soundcard does not work at all therefore, I tried to talk to InMusic Akai via E-mail, but they don't respond. =( The days of AKAI in the future vill only be to buy new, it seems today people still sitting woth their old MPC 60 & 3000, but to use the Ren & also MPC X in the future seem to be doomed to a early death. Thanks a ton Brother <3 for your beautiful soul and presence <3 Cheers
I'm currently using Yamaha HS5 studio monitors and JBL LSR310s. I'd like to add two more active speakers to create a 4.1 surround sound system. How can I connect the additional speakers?
I think this popped up in my feed because I keep watching the Morpheus VHS guide with Marco LOL. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tYp1y6JKSoo.html
if akai had put 4 mono socket instead of requiring the buyer to cough up for $60 in adapters, that would have been nice. same goes for the Elektron Analog 4 Mk1.
@@heymynameisharry I'm aware you can run them at half the CV outs as one each , but that's not what I'd want to do with it, I'd ended up using my Elektron cables to split them out but I have the disconnect my Elektron A4 to do it and it also sequences my modular, as for costs they will cost significantly more as I'll need to order them from overseas to get them at the cheapest price and that's with shipping costs, local retail is crazy high for these low demand adapter cables & inflation has probably made it even higher now since I initially commented.
I wish that moog would make a special edition moog one modular. Taking 8 or the full 16 voices from a moog one and putting it inside a large modular cabinet in 5u format.
They need to be tip-ring splitters and NOT left-right. Also, (side note), if you have volcas and in particular, the "modular" one, you can just use a stereo 1/8 inch standard cable which will transmit both pitch and gate info to the volca's singular jack socket.
I’m thinking about getting both the grandmother and the matriarch. If I sample them and flip them, add some bass and drums, would that be considered Modbap?
Nigga we know that ! Akai been doing this with the MPC 60 from since back in the day with the 8 audio outs on the to make them 16 outs even though i know the CV is for something else and not audio. Damn son, you got my mouth all ready for a delicious Italian dinner and here you come with a can of Vienna sausages. Done clicked on your video for no reason. I want my 3 minutes back yo.....😊
says who? there is absolutely nothing wrong with using presets to produce. sound design isn't for everyone, and that's no reason for anyone to avoid a unique synth like this one just because they aren't into sound design and deep synthesis.
