This man is by far an extremely multi-talented man! He is one of the few amazing other musicians that you feel his music through his vocals and playing.
I can't. I've tried so many times. I've really wanted to get onto this guys vibe. It just doesn't happen. Every time I'm like 😯 ... His voice isn't appealing to me.. Their music is awesome tho..
I can see it I personally love his voice though. John Butler Trio is a group I love listening to when im climbing or doing some sort of mellow outdoorsy shit by myself. Im sure there good live but dont have enough of a big sound like some of my other groups like Phish, and string cheese, and other for me to be jumping up and down like crazy.
Until I saw these guys live I was convinced that they couldn't possibly be a trio. I was sure they were hiding a coupe of extra guitarists backstage! Truly probably the only band that has really blow my mind! So much amazing talent!
I recently noticed that many finger style guitarists have those fake (or real) long nails to serve as picks. Makes me wanna hide my fingers in my pockets, lol.
