That is because the Astazou XIV-M has separate fuel injectors and ignitors, the other variants like Astazou III or XIV-B or XIV-H have torch igniters. The XIV-M has a dual coil where the others have a single coil.

I was lucky enough to get a front seat flight in the Gazelle with a blue eagles AAC display pilot. The aircraft handling is fantastic, amazing experience doing aerobatics in a helicopter 🚁
man these things have a great sound. whats the correct term used for that style of anti torque? the ducted fan type. thats what gives em the amazing sounds
It’s called a Fenestron. The distinctive high pitch “whistle” is specific to the evenly spaced blades. Later Fenestron often have unevenly spaced blades to mitigate this noise.
I’m not sure about the 2 persons in front… mine is also a rayban but no glass 😉 but honestly… I think the impact of the bird on the front window will reduce the speed factor significantly that the force entering the cockpit will not be of that kind to brake the glass of the sunglasses 😎😉

Interesting vídeo ! What kind of information you had to take you from one check point to the next ? I organized one similar Air rally in Brazil last month and pilots had only heading and distance To follow the whole circuit and to photograph all check points.
We received standard headings and distances sometimes a given time to fly a distance… of course it is difficult to pinpoint exactly due to wind conditions but we received with each mission the objectives so we knew what to look for.
