Why are you losing coolant ?
@Jim-Slade
@Jim-Slade Месяц назад
It was a 6 year old vehicle at that time, and would be normal for some evaporation by that point, like any ICE vehicle or EV. It didn’t take a lot of fluid to top it off (well under a gallon if I remember - just about the amount of the overflow reservoir/fill tank). I didn’t have the issue again for next 2.5 years before I sold it.

so much crap to remove just to fill the coolant....god, does tesla REALLY not want the car owners to touch the car at all?

Any idea how to drain and fill or flush the battery coolant?

Sorry, I don’t know that procedure and haven’t seen any other videos on it. I haven’t even seen a reservoir for it. If you find a procedure, please post it here.

Thanks so much. I just replaced the 12V Battery with one I got at Batterys Plus. You CAN do some of your own stuff! Forget this garbage! From the Tesla Manual Warning: Contact Tesla immediately if you notice any significant or sudden drop in fluid levels or uneven tire wear. Fluid Replacement Intervals Do not change or top up Battery coolant and brake fluid yourself. Tesla service technicians replace fluids at the regularly scheduled service intervals: • Brake fluid. Every 2 years or 25,000 miles (40,000 km), whichever comes first. • Battery coolant. Every 5 years or 62,500 miles (100,000 km), whichever comes first. Note: Any damage from opening the Battery

Dumb question here but I will ask anyway. AC is not working today. If I’m that low on coolant if I added coolant wooded fix the issue? Thank you for any advice.

No issues at all, and haven’t needed to add any coolant since making this video.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2020 S Perf with a slight coolant leak and wanted to proactively top it off until I get it in for service, this helped me with the removal of the plastic covers.
