*This place is so fucking lame. Every single nightclub in La Placita has a sexist policy to abide by for security measures. They don’t pat women down at the door, but do pat down men. The first night I went out, I thought it had to do with what I was wearing, but I went out again last night and realised that it’s literally just sexism. I wasn’t wearing anything that screamed “I’m hiding a gun underneath all of this” last night and I definitely wasn’t wearing anything loose enough that could conceal a gun - guns are pretty obviously bulky and heavy. The mere fact that I’m being treated as if I can be a potential aggressor is discrimination in its purest sense. I felt so violated having those filthy security guards’ hands on me patting me down. I even told one of them that they’re being sexist and the idiot just shrugged his shoulders - I called it out because they clearly saw that I was the only man going into the club with 2 women and they did not pat them. Actually, one of the girls actually had baggier clothes than I did because she was wearing a suit - she wasn’t patted down in any of the clubs we went to. They should hire female security guards to pat down women to make the whole situation fair and equitable for everyone.*
