Out of the water 3 years prior?? Far too long, and have anybody noticed the zinc anodes all gone and allowing damage to the steel plating. I owned two steel trawlers and once or 2 times a year we took them out of the water for a repaint and inspection.
With N.4 Volvo Penta IPS engines (4 of them) proper maintenance will be very important. Great engines if properly maintained and offer excellent maneuverability. Awards were based on innovation, economical (due to the solar), and for interior design. Overall I'd have to agree, it's a very inviting boat that uses it's space well.
Can't believe that a 76 foot motor yacht uses a single engine with a wing engine instead of twins. These are supposed to be true ocean crossing vessels - twins seem like a much better choice.
@@yachtlens I was just trying to start a war. People will believe anything and if I told them it was 37 million dollars they would all lose their minds.
This is a pleasure craft with 2 600's on the back. Fuel capacity is 984 and max distance is 200. Math comes out at about 4.7 miles per gallon I am assuming. This said, the manufacturers contact info is below the video for questions. Thanks for watching.
Nice boat, but The mid deck is bloody dangerous with no freeing ports in it. A big wave over the bow & you got 20 ton sitting mid ships above the center of buoyancy.
She is well ballasted and great bilge pumps. She is not for deep sea cross water voyages. She does great in the Pacific Northwest waters. Thanks for watching.
@@yachtlens How about just putting some freeing ports in. Boats have been capsized before from that fault or the ports getting blocked. I don't mean to just criticize a well made boat. But what I say could save a life some day. saying the sea never gets rough there is not true. Ask any naval designer & he will tell you it takes only a small amount of water above deck to make a rolling vessel dangerous.
Having been a yacht mechanic, seeing an engine compartment that squared away is nice. Easy access front and back of the motor is such a time/ money saver!
She does great in the Pacific Northwest waters...you need a large vessel for ocean voyages of long distances. She has great ballast and can come with a Sea Keeper. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the great tour with many details. Love many Nordhavn touches, but always question the single main engine thing, granted I am not zooming along at 30+ knots like a cigar boat or Pershing yacht, but one main engine for ocean voyage
Many boats have single engines even in the Bering Sea. They are well maintained and these are. We agree she is well appointed and beautiful.. Thanks for watching.
It had rained that day, prior to the walk thru he opened the water proof hatch. Water slid in from the deck it did not drip in. Pacific Northwest rains get heavy! That happens frequently if you have a wet deck and open a hatch....thanks for watching.
Very nice layout! Really flexible for owner operation or with crew when needed. That lower crew area/flex space allows lots of options for fitting out.
Saw this at trawlerfest in Anacortes. Interesting boat but I was baffled by the mid cockpit. Seemed like the prime real estate for accomodations was put into the cockpit. I would eliminate that and increase the after cockpit instead to get more living space. I was also concerned that a good wave over the bow with flood that mid cockpit which could be problematic. The concept of a relatively narrow efficient hull is attractive for economic traveling, just seems like this layout wastes a lot of space.
It rides very well in the pacific northwest waters. Great ballast and captains know about small craft advisories...this is a pleasure boat. Thanks for watching.
do they have a model that doesnt suck? why cant they make that but in a cruiser configuration. no one wants to drive in one part and sleep in another. thats a horrendous layout
It is not unusual for this type of boat as water gets in through the anchor locker as well as many other boats too. Even around other deck openings like the storage locker hatch has a drain on aft port side if you paid attention when he opened it. The seals on the hatch will prevent the water from dropping straight down over the lip. But you don't want water remaining inside the lip area. No I have no connection to the company or Yacht Lens. Just someone who has been around a lot of boats.
It rained alot that day, water dripped in when he opened it earlier before the walk thru. Bilge pump had not engaged yet as it does with a bit more water. No she is water tight with great seals it was not a leak. We get some good rains out there in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for watching.
You have a great report with the various manufacturer reps and are able to contribute your own observations without getting in the way of the sales pitch.
No need, these are individual walk thrus with owners, boat manufacturers, and brokers. We enjoy our work and most viewers appreciate it. Thanks for watching.
