Hey I'm Tymon. The last project was building a semi off the grid, tiny home on the back of a Mercedes Benz Unimog u1700 4x4 truck.
The current project - converting a 36foot monohull sailboat to fully electric! I documented the house truck build and you'll get to see the ups and downs, the end product, and will be doing the same for our boat project. Join me as I navigate my way through the building/reno process and to see all the adventures. ENJOY!

Top notch sailing channel! Jealous of your life together! Do ya know any 55+ lady's that are good cooks & would like to see the world?. 😂 P.S. What type of boat is she? I have a 36 Islander. 🗽🇺🇲🙏🤞⛵️🏴☠️
It’s called a robot by cafelat. They’re a bit pricey but I’ve only changed a few silicone gaskets in about 6 years. I’m hoping it’s the last code machine I’ll ever buy. Makes cafe standard coffee 👍
Hey have you tried out your regen, I'd love some idea what you make on the different settings, I've just emailed Tully about an electric conversion kit for my boat, thanks for the sweet vids 😊
I think that the OCT looks nice, and I know they put a lot of work into it, but I can't help but think of a bath tub when ever I hear something hit it. It has that dull "donk" sound plastic bath tubs make
40k!!!!!! What tha?! That’s hectic. Cheers for the comment 🙏 music.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uFPHKa5HteE.html&si=LyJ407Ik_IftHC5h
Thanks for sharing. I went electric 4 years ago, have a 550ah bank, but i went induction motor with a curtis controller, which is my only regret. The sevcon seems to be much easier to program with better tools and service, plus a PM motor would have been smaller and more efficient. I've also not been able to get regen to work. Regardless, I actually use the motor more now than I did the old diesel, for all the reasons you say. I have 1.2kw solar, so get unlimited range at about 2 /2.5knts. Trying to find space for more solar to increase that. It's the motor sailing that it really comes into its own though. People just don't realize how great it is, in light winds with a sail up going at 2/3knts and being able to add another 2knts for free!
Hey, really enjoying your vids. I've also got a 37ft electric sailboat and have been using a carver surfskate as my main transport onland, though anything more than a couple of km and uphill just doesn't cut it. So been debating ebike/skat/scooter. Think you may have sold me on the skate. Out of interest what trucks does it have, could it be worth swapping out the front truck for a surfskate truck to make it more carvy? Also what boat is that, you seem to have so much room for a 36ft.
The trucks are double kingpin. I wouldn’t swap the trucks out for something more carvy, I actually tightened mine up. You need a more stable setup if you want to go at higher speeds. There is no way you’re going 40+ km/h on a surf skate. But, depends what you want the board for I guess. Thanks for the comments mate. My boat is a lavranos 36ft 🍻
I am seriously struggling to find any wall mounted 3kg washing machine in the UK. I was originally looking for a Daewoo Mini but they seem impossible to get. So I was very excited to see this. I followed your link for this one and contacted the supplier. Who was really helpful and gave me a link to their French distributor. But they were 750€. Is that right? Or am I just being a cheapskate 😂j
Wow that’s way too much! If that link is no good keep searching alibaba for a 3kg washer. The dryer part is useless. Look for suppliers that have been operating for the most amount of years then check reviews. I’d say 200£ plus postage is heaps. Hope that helps 🙏
Thanks Tymon! You are the master of laconic understatement!!! Best short I’ve seen this year! Thankfully the memo to be a twit on social media missed you by a full hemisphere. My daughters think you are my hero… They may be right. Keep on keeping on! 👍⚡️⛵️
Pros and cons, I live in a 36ft bus in the US. The Meepo voyager has served me well. 30mile range means I only charge (on my solar) once a week. I have never run out of charge on a trip with the voyager. The 500wh means I can carry weight (groceries) with no problems. The tynee would make a good spare but not practical.
Absolute solitude mixed with total silence of calm sea water, cooking meals yourself. Man, I love it/ AND ... there is no stinky smell of any walking c@nt or any joyous sometimes crying loudly five-year sperm@tozoid. It is also my lifestyle.
Your feet are getting tingly because your riding In chucks which have a super thin outsole so you really feel everything. Soke skaters like this but for eskate it has not as many benefits to get massive board feel. I switched to vans because my feet were hurting though.
Watch watched all 3 videos,,learned a lot 🙏🏻 I’m thinking of getting a boat and doing something along these lines,,probably gonna have more solar and cells,,fair play on answering most post 🙏🏻
Knot on the traveller car? You’ve lost me. There is a bowline on end pulley (on both sides obviously) but no knot on the car that moves side to side, only pulleys.
Looks like I’ll be following your lead! Pulling out my Perkins 4108 diesel and looking to do a swap for electric in my 41 Morgan OI. Similar plans to circumnavigate and surf 😎
Simple nice footage in the harbour, made me home sick, but could never live there again, to busy. Not much footage of Pittwater area. FYI - Palm Beach, near the lighthouse on the point, is the filming location for Home & Away (tv soap since 1988). Content ideas - Map shown when discussing from>too, for international/unfamiliar viewers. B&G app running in corner during sail, so viewers can see what conditions you're dealing with. 360 cam on top of mast constantly running (& others), so you never miss a thing, like 11:20
Awesome stuff lad! Living the house mind 👍. We’re just thinking about our motor just now, not a clue what we’re gonna do yet, too many ideas - will enjoy keeping an eye on ya, good to be in touch. Cheers, Chris
