Great video! Thanks. We tuck cotton balls soaked in borax and sugar water around our entryways to kill ant colonies and prevent them from coming into our home. Will borax work in place of boric acid sine we have that on hand?
Tallow is not a transfat ,it is the healthiest fat for humans. I would consume 1 kg per week Rendering trimmings is far easier if they are minced first and will need less heat.
Great video!!! - Has anyone tried wrapping the buried portion of posts and covering the tops with Poor Man’s Fiberglass (PMF - fabric doped with waterproof wood glue, usually Titebond II or III)? I have used it successfully to roof sheds quickly and inexpensively. It is waterproof on roofs & doesn’t leak, though it may not withstand hydrostatic pressure on posts placed in the ground and could deteriorate over time. - PMF would be largely incompatible with an oil-diesel soak because the latter can’t be used before wrapping with PMF (prevents adhesion). PMF-covered posts could be coated with an oil-diesel mix after the application of PMF to bare wood, but that would prevent penetration of the mix into the wood. - Actual fiberglass would be a better option than PMF, though much more costly, and U.S. Composites informs me that many resins are not actually waterproof so specific ones must be used to provide durable waterproofing. I also wonder about specially coating the top and bottom post end grain with polyester resin, epoxy resin, 2-part Bondo, or other sealants (perhaps reinforced with fiberglass) to add an extra barrier to prevent bottom end grain wicking and top down water infiltration inside the post. - (i) Your 45-degree south-facing top cut to prevent top post freeze cracking/water infiltration and (ii) your instructions re placing gravel beneath posts before concrete pouring or tamping earth around them to avoid water retention and bottom end grain wicking are spot on. Preventing water from infiltrating posts in the first place and keeping them dry is more effective than attempting to slow rot in wood subjected to wet-dry cycles. The earth-facing side of a properly-built basement or retaining wall will stay remarkably dry so long as gravel is installed to drain water away before reaching it. - As you suggest, posts treated and installed using your method will likely survive most of us. As an older guy, I favor extra durability which survives me by several generations if it can be accomplished efficiently and at low cost. Thank you!
Thank you for actually making yer trap yourself and not being a management type with a mock in a conditioned space where everybody who is a doer can tell that you never do shit.
Get your facts straight! It was not over a decade ago. Whether or not , If he screwed up, Then, He should have had the problem fixed. Why are there so many lawsuits against Trump. Because, He keeps screwing up. Do you really think he is not abusing the system. Why is it a fact, that he can make 12 million, and only pay $750 in taxes. Why has every single business, he has owned, has filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, and he's needed a bailout. How can one justify that he Boeing 737 is only worth $1000. He is scamming the system. He has been doing it for years. And, Now, He has finally been caught. He deserves to pay. I'm not going to say, throw him in jail, But, He should be punished. Maybe he should , just admit to fraud, and say he made a mistake. Now, He just rambles on, He is the biggest baby in the entire world.
I'm back, I done one very similar to yours....I didn't have any luck yet, they are the peanut butter but some how didn't fall into the water, so I'm rewatching to see where I went wrong....First I used a tall can like a Noz energy drink can....going to either use a small peanut butter jar (plastic) or a 12 oz can. Rats are terrible in our chicken coop...Thanks for sharing, I know this will work, I either have something not right or we have extremely smart rats.
I will try this. Also, there’s another product that is deadly to insects in your lawn. It’s called diatomaceous earth. It’s a fine powder that, under a microscope, is like millions of sharp knives that cut away the exoskeleton of an insect. Fleas don’t stand a chance if they encounter this. Pair up the boric acid for the flying ones and the DE for the non-flying ones.
Thanks ... Brilliant really. It would have been great to hook up a camera and see the live trap in action :). I bet if this was a little bigger it could even be used for squatters lol.
