I know he was nominated for the Calder, but I never realized his rookie campaign was that good. Had it not been for the injury he had, I wonder if he'd still have kept that pace.
Canadian version of Peter Forsberg, no question. Skates, passes and eludes players and hits like him as well. Captin material and second top 5 passer in the leauge (already) he is a true beast and budding superstar. Thank God Canada always produces the best players and Legends in hockey history consistently. Just another elite player to add to the list!
true, landeskog plays gritty and creates momentum via hits and defensive play, but nugent hopkins has insane vision to make big plays, solid defensive play, and i do think hopkins is similar to datsyuk in a way. a puck thief, surprisingly strong, elite passing, elusive skater. Hopkins also looks mature on the ice and should be captain instead of eberle or hall.
