Why do the plate style coolers have the reputation for clogging and cause loss of cooling? I've seen multiple rebuilders make the claim The plate design does seem better for cooling capacity with low pressure drop.
Yes, you can change to KPH with the InVision Digital Dash Systems. Check out our other product video that provides some of the main features from the AutoMeter InVision Universal Digital Dash. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XnH_Gt6ghHE.html
This distributor looks cool, but isn't cheap. It doesn't "need" to connected to an MSD ignition box, it can be wired to a regular ignition module. But since it doesn't have vacuum advance, it wouldn't make a good daily driver distributor... unless it is locked out and connected to a computer for timing advance.
Hello, a few weeks ago I bought a MSD 6AL Ultra. The question is, when the vehicle is in contact the bluetooth light does not work. Previously, I did do this, in fact I entered the app and configured the MSD. The vehicle is running but I cannot access the bluetooth. What could have happened? The msd is new, just installed. Could it be due to low battery voltage or something like that?
Three ply sidewalls only on the LT model; not the XL. As per the website. Too bad that is NOT noted in this video. FAIL! And running Blackbear pass, as shown in the video, does not require 3-ply sidewalls. Easy, downhill with some serious switchback turns and drops if missing a turn. So 3-ply nice, but not needed especially if you go off the edge.
Can I add one of your fuel pressure gauges to an existing transducer (running on standard 5v linear signal)? Or do I need to use a longacre transducer?
The point is pumps create volume NOT pressure. Clearances create pressure. Which is ironic, because smelling sells a “high pressure” performance pump 😂. If you lose volume, I suppose it follows that you lose pressure, but the oil pump is not my first suspicion with loss of oil pressure. Unless the pickup is plugged and I am getting zero flow all together.
Hey guy's I just purchased a new melling m155 Oil Pump, wet sump 3/4 in Inlet plus new pickup for my 5.7 4x4 tahoe chevy Small Block. Did the pre oil prime and watched for oil to show at the rockers, oil flow looked good. Was told it would produce 60 plus PSI which it only produce 40 PSI cold and 30 after engine warmed up. But the real problem is the pump is the most noise pump I've ever heard. Pump sounds like it's grinding like crazy untill engine reaches the 190 degree operating temp but you can still hear the sound just not as noticable. Almost like running timing gears sound but some what louder! I'm real disappointed as their was a real mellow sound from the pump when I was priming the engine. If not for having to pull my engine to get to the pump I put the old GM pump back in which produced a soild 60 cold and soild 50 warmed. Once the weather gets warner, garranteed I will. Even removed engine belt to make sure it was not the water pump or AC. I should have not listened to the tech saying melling pumps are better that GM pumps. All my bro's who rebuild engine are saying after hearding the sound that this melling pump makes they won't be chancing replacing any oil pumps for customers or friends with melling made in china junk. I even purchasee a automotive stethoscope, sure enough it's the melling oil pump... Thanks for the headaches!
Ok so heres a question you most definately never got... Im building a 410w Stroker w/5 speed and wont ever spin past 5500rpm's as its built for brutal torque.Im running the stock bearing clearances on everything and engine was low mileage before boring and stroking so lifter bores are within standards. Instead of running a roller camshaft Im running Howards Cams Increased Oiling EDM style flattappet hydraulic lifters that offer excellent direct lifter to lobe oiling and also Im thinking about adding a spraytip at the galleyplug at the distributor to sprayoil the T-Chain directly so what oilpump would you recommend for my application....? I plan on running 10w/30 oil w/ a lil ZDDP suppliment added.. The other question would be ;-"What oil filter would you recommend to maintain the best oil pressure and best protection?"
Is it normal for my New Hawk rotors to turn slightly dark after the bedding process? They are on a 4 cyl Camry so Basically no power to the wheels but I’m scared that I might have “ruined” the rotors. Please advise. I have the Hawk pads street racing in the blue box.
These may work great when new, but they become welded in the groves after they’ve heat cycled a few times. What a pain to remove and rings are toast! I do not recommend, unless you change rotors very frequently.
