I'm 26 years old. I never got a chance to play any of the Legend of Zelda games as a kid. I remember having sleepovers at my cousins house and watching him play for hours while I was wondering how cool the game looked. Fast forward to just a month ago, a friend of mine has a Nintendo Switch and I was browsing through her short collection of games. I got tired playing the repetitiveness of Mario Kart and Smash bros, I wanted to play a game with a story. I saw that the Switch has a section here you can play many of the 90s/early 2000s classic Nintendo games. Both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were listed. I just finished Ocarina and I'm starting my journey with Majora, and it's kinda sad I am just now experiencing these amazing games. But, the upside I now get to be part of the Zelda community and I've gained a great fascination for fantasy/medieval-like stories, something that's pretty new to me.
This game scared me when i was a kid, (mostly because i found out about the Ben drowned creepypasta), but also there was a lot of curiosity that finally convince me to play it. It became my favorite Zelda game, and not only that, it also became my comfy game. I play it when i just want to relive some good old memories. (Sorry if bad english).
I gotta leave a comment here expressing my utmost appreciation for these videos!!! I've been following your work since zeldawave came out 6 years ago, right when I started my undergrad degree. Your videos and music have pulled me through so many all-nighters and rough times, I cannot say how many times I've had these videos on repeat, just blasting through my headphones. There's just something about the way you blend the music, beats, and themes into something special, all of your work is a true gem. I'm now finishing up my Master's, moving onto a Phd program here soon. Thank you so much for these.
Your ZELDAWAVE videos always make me calm and focus while i draw, even if is not Zelda related, it brings me a lot of joy and memories, me and my sis love Zelda saga a lot, thank you for those awesome mixes, still listening until i get tired of it (like NEVER <3)
Been listening to this one on repeat for a while and just had to bounce in to say I cannot believe you were able to weave the ocarina warp songs into their respective temple themes. That in and of itself is an incredible feat considering so many of them aren't even in the same key originally or follow the same chord progressions, yet you were able to make it work. The Minuet of Forest takes on an ENTIRELY different vibe when worked into the Forest Temple theme, I'm just so blown away by it all. Was really happy I was able to get a vinyl release of this thing, this is my go-to record for when I'm cleaning the house.
