@@vacuumchannel213 or belonged to an old person who rarely used it, died, and the machine donated. Usually anything that old, the switch is loose. Any idea of year?
Around 1988, Hoover, like Eureka, started puting the date in the serial number. On Hoover, the first two are month, the thord and fourth numbers of the year. I hope that this helps
@@dancline2143 this did help the serial is 038900074889, I just put a new bag in it that's all it needed, I just got done using it and its so damn powerful with a new bag in it. Already has a good belt and brushroll
Hello, my name is Jane Rose Loave I’m a new member of your channel since I heard you have incredible content. Your Craftsman powermate is incredible, I like how nice it sounds and does an incredible job of cleaning your chair (unless it’s an ottoman)
@@gple87 I just looked on Craigslist for air conditioners and I found this crown jewel, I almost didn't want to use it but I was like what the hell it was made to be used anyway just as long as I take great care of it. It was also my first craiglist purchase and drove over 3 hours to get it
@@gple87 175$ tbh I should have opened it up and replaced the foam since it all falls apart too but it still works good main thing I have to replace is the filter bc it's probably all falling apart
The design of these Regina HouseKeeper's look very much like an Aerus Electrolux upright. But these are very fragile machines in terms of quality (they're honestly even worse than Eureka or Dirt Devil if I'm being honest), just look at one the wrong way, and a piece will break off.
Yes and I've have always wanted this model and it's actually in great condition and runs great I'm sure it was preserved somehow because the motor from a glimpse looks really really good almost brand new
I have the sanitaire version of this machine they are really nice man and although they aren't powerful but you can't tell by how fast the bag starts to get full if you use it on daily bases though.
Nice vintage F&G bag Eureka upright! I also have a few Regina and Hoover Electrikbrooms in my collection. My opinion best stick vacs over what they make today in that same category!
I have this but the bagged version. My brother found it in the trash and a little tlc and some work done to it its a good upright. Hoover Windtunnel belts and bags also fit in these vice-versa if cant find parts.
Seeing this Hoover brings back memories of my childhood! 1994 8yrs old my Dad had gotten this same Hoover to replace his Singer twin fan upright that was ruined when our basement flooded some. We had this for many years and was probably the best upright till we replaced it with another good Hoover that being a bagged Windtunnel many years later. Just seeing this one in complete condition gives me good vibes of being a carefree kid who only worried about school during the week and coming home to my toys, Sega Genesis, and on summer vacations going to Geauga Lake, Sea World in our 1990 Ford Aerostar lol
Royal made great vacuums. I used to work as a janitor for a company that used Royals. They are very aggressive deep cleaning vacuums. I loved using them. Nice video bro!
Very nice machine! To help cut down on the noise, you will want to bend the rug plate tab a bit forward and also use some foam rubber to help insulate it.
OMG thank you I bent it forward and tried a temporary fix using rubber bands and it stopped completely, I spent my money on 2 brushrolls and went the extra mile and greased bearings on both of them and didn't seem to consider it was the plate, thank you so much 😂🎉
@@vacuumchannel213 Sure thing! Always glad to help. That has happened to a lot of those plates. You can use foam rubber, felt or even a little sealant around the inner part of the plate to stop the noise. As you noticed, bending the tab forward makes the plate fit tighter to the nozzle.
If I am correct, these were made in the mid-90’s and they have Lamb motors. Definitely the 12 amp model as it is quite louder than the 7 amp Deluxe one. That one is actually quiet.
Thanks, it was fun vacuuming the apartment up and it left really nice lines as you can see in the video. I think this version of the elite II with the square hood is pretty rare. I know the other RU-vid "cherryred" has this version but it's really beat up, I was lucky to find this mint. Thanks for the comment bro 👏
Very cool cleaner & story about it in your description! As far as I know the U5239-930 was sold exclusively at JCPenney; so the company possibly only carried the Type A bags (which are very similar to the Type Z ones). It was somewhat common for store exclusives to alter features, so this may have been the case with the Dimension to the T3500. Btw, how long is the cord? Some were 24-feet and others were 31-feet. Thanks for posting.
