Hello dear subscribers, I am collector of classical music and involved in exchange of rare recordings. If you have something rare of Zimerman/Gilels/Pogorelich and Michelangeli, pleas connect me on this email below
Loved the music. A powerful performance. Totally ruined by the intrusion of a commercial about 3 minutes before the movement ended and then the commercial would have gone at that spot just fine between the two movements. Sheesh!
Great performance. This concerto is my ultimate favorite Piano Concerto and one of my favorite works by Rachmaninoff. So spooky, gothic, romantic, and theatrical.
Первый раз услышала по радио этот концерт в 20 лет.Боже, как ошеломила меня эта необыкновенная музыка!!! Всю будущую жизнь я увидела и все сбылось!!! П.И.ЧАЙКОВСКИЙ волшебник!!!!
Even better is Karel Ancerl,Czech PhilHarmonic with Svatoslav Richter at the keyboard. And among the new generation a young italian pianist named Gabriele Strata with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, second place at the last Montréal 2024 Competition. Young, yes, but eloquent beyond the young Argerich with Dutoit and RPO fifty years ago.
Amazing playing and in excellent quality. Makes me wonder if there are any broadcasts from around this time where he played the Prokofiev Sixth, he performed the piece many times but I havent heard a single live recording
I've always admired Sokolov's performances. This is the first one I've seen with him being so young. That power and excitement is there. What a treat to see this great artist again. Thank you!
Deeply felt interpretation, great support from Wallenstein and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. One catches a glimpse of their afro-American double bassist, Henry Lewis.
For whatever reason the great Tomoko Kato's playing isn't broadcast. She was the 2nd prize winner. Here you can listen to her Schumann piano quintet 17 years after the competition. For me the best rendition of that quintet. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DK33oM0q_-U.htmlsi=i3aQGolH0IUkR51e
This is great piano playing and music making, The elemental fury and passion, the largely preserved precision of the playing, and the ownership of the rhythm and timings of the Spanish sections. Astounding, exciting!
