Enjoy it while you're Still young, you say. LOL, My wife and I are 70 years+ young then. Age has nothing at all to do with the joys of rooftop camping, The places you can go with a rooftop tent and a small trailer Know that is what makes it more fun. Caravans and motor-home owners will never get it at all.

Hi there! Well, we got the trailer from Kevin his grandfather, this is what he had ... In the meantime we upgraded. And we went from the Defender 90 & trailer, to a Defender 110 😁 So much more beneficial & practical. We're really happy with the choice we made to buy a 110!
Were you already up to date regarding the MASSIVE NEWS we shared in the video? And are you as excited as we are for this next chapter? it's going to be ONE HELL OF A RIDE, but we are more than ready for it 😁
Awesome that you got your trailer fixed so fast . Great video again you two . Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventure videos with us all your over landing friends . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 🍻👍🏼😁
Hi Steve, thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🤩 We were so happy indeed to have our home on wheels back that quickly & that we got to continue our roadtrip this fast.
Is Croatia on your roadtrip bucketlist? 🤩🇭🇷 Or what other countries are perfect for roadtripping or overlanding?! Hit us up 🙌 We are eager to explore them!
Love the Landy and trailer travels. Maybe look at a Penman (Ex Army) trailer, as a replacement. Designed to be towed behind a Defender. Same wheel stud pattern and track width. They are a bit more robust than your current trailer. Built so squaddies can't break them!! Available in the UK, not sure about EU.
Hi there! Thanks a lot 🤩 And thank you for the valuable information. Well, if we need to be honest ... our dream set up is a Defender 110 with a pop up rooftop tent! So much more convenient. We really hope we get to travel like this one day. Would be an overland dream come true, for sure! Greetings, Lia & Kevin.
Fitness and other sports: yes. Crossfit: not really ... We hate to say this, but work life is catching up on us. Such a shame, because we really liked it! 😊
Haha, indeed, roadtrip life is a rollercoaster of adventures and surprises. It's funny how we can feel like we have everything figured out, only to be humbled by unplanned moments like this ... 😅 Embracing the journey, with all its ups and downs, is what makes this travel life truly remarkable. And it's only during moments like this that we grow, learn, and discover new aspects of ourselves! 🙏
Beautiful views and great shots of the landy . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful travel memories even the bad . You two put out great videos. But over landing is always the good with the bad .that’s just over landing life . But you two always seem to have a great out look on life, so cheers and hoping things get better. Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A.:) :) 🍻👍🏼😁
Thanks for the well wishes, Steve! Overlanding with a Land Rover Defender really makes you take it day by day. But being this present & in the moment makes us also super happy & grateful! 💛🌞
Tune in on Instagram (instagram.com/trippingtheroad/) to find out if we finally made it to Montenegro or if our trailer breaking down in Croatia was the end of this roadtrip ... 😎

Well, our BIG DREAM is to one day bike the Great Divide in the U.S.A 🤟 Would be a dream come true!!! If we ever make it there, we will let you know for sure 🤩
Camping Arolla in Arolla (small) Camping Junfrau in Lauterbrunnen (big) Camping des Glaciers in La Fouly. (big) Keep in mind that till May the higher mountain passes are closed (same in France btw). July/August it will be difficult to find a camping spot without making timely reservations, they'll be mostly all booked. September is probably a good time to come back, temperature will still be good, not much snow left, the creeks will have less water though.
Hi there! Thanks a lot for the recommendations 💯 We definitely want & need to go back to Switzerland. And indeed, we would rather go after summer. So we still have great weather, but without the mass tourists.
About the mountain passes: we really should have checked that in advance (such a stupid rookie mistake lol). Wanted to check some of them out & we had hoped to find some epic campspots higher in the mountains as well! Will be for another time 🤩
Stay tuned for our next video, we'll be roadtripping through Croatia & then of course breaking down along the way ... An adventure it was for sure 🔥 We are already excited to share the video!
haha yes, we are from Belgium 🤩 Awesome to read that you've been listening & watching so attentively to our vlogs, that's just epic! Greetings from Belgium!!!

Hi there! We both work a normal corporate job in the HR sector. We don't save a lot of money, we like to spent it now & live our lives now 🤩 We use all our days of statutory paid leave to roadtrip!
