Yeah, don’t be like me! Started off with the fairing package and wasn’t going to do lids but after a month it bothered me that I had 2 channels doing nothing (didn’t bridge fronts) and called up and got speakers and wiring for 6.5” saddle bag lids. So yes, I had to do extra work. Fortunately be had this bike apart more than I can count BUT it would have saved time for sure if I had just ran everything from the jump.
Yes, Brandon I have the 2 inch pullbacks had bars so I’ve got clearance way better than the stock. I can stick my hand in between the handlebar and the speakers should work. I’m assuming please respond. Thank you.
Again are you going to be fabricating this for the 2018 Chieftain classic, also have you thought about coming up with something to bypass that automatic shut off bird shot so if you have to reboot to start the stereo all over again it’s very annoying This is why I see the Indians always running when you guys are doing a walk around showing off your equipment so the stereo don’t turn off the Harleys are always setting turned off the music playing with Indians are always running because of the shut off we need to do a bypass. @mrdude3540 It's unfortunate that so many riders are unhappy as we all feel a part of the brand we ride.. To be honest, I really have only read the headlines and have not dove deep into anything.. I do think I might dive deep just to keep up with the knowledge of what's going on!
@@Ridingfish ya HD riders are boycotting HD at sturgis like they did bud light like last year. There ripping off there Harley decals from there bikes. One dude on RU-vid actually blew up his Harley.
Curious why you didn't keep the Cicada DSP88 vs. going with the HKI mini? Space issue? Granted I'm not a huge fan of the DSP88's input/output layout, but like the fact it can do high and/or low level inputs, plus I like tuning it with a laptop vs. a cell phone/tablet.
I am definitely down for this. I have a 2018 chieftain and have wanted this since I bought the bike!! You mentioned stock handlebars won't work with this kit due to speaker clearance. I installed the rix risers on my bike that moved the stock bars about 2" away from the fairing and towards me. Do you think this would be enough clearance to allow me to use these pods? If so you might as well consider a set ordered!!! Also I think I met you in Daytona. I am the IMRG Midwest Regional Coordinator for the Midwest Region.

We have tried the new FLX amplifiers in the Indian Challenger and don't recommend them for the Indian motorcycle platform. The biggest reason is they don't cary any IP rating so if they get wet which they will in the Indian challenger fairing they will short out.
