make sure that the frame-rate is exact the same in twixtor (i use sony vegas pro) Then slow it down to whatever you want. Now render it to a new track, with the exact same framerate as your source. After that, render it again to what you want, for example 24p if you render it directly to 24p, twixtor gets confused, and it will look not good. Just try it. with a short clip,
thanks for the reply! so when you put it in twixtor you slow it down to whatever speed you want then under the fps setting you choose (or i) would choose 24p?
This is done in 50p and a SS between 1/640 and 1/1600.. i do first twixtor, then render it all to the same fps as the source.(you must do this!!) And after that confirm it to for example 25 fps (i never use 24p)...
nice!!, i shoot ntsc so to recreate this type of footage would i shoot 30p 60 then slow down in twixtor and conform to 24p 50? or would your recommend 60p 120 then slow down in twixtor?
That's a shutter issue. The shutter should normally be 2x the frame rate, so for 24p, it should be able 1/48 (1/50 is the GH2 equivalent). Notice it's not at 50, but is at 60, and afterwards at some and not others.
