"Don't just dream it - driveit!". DreamCarGarage1 (DCG1) is an exciting car show featuring reviews of performance cars, after those cars have lived a little bit and earned a few miles under their bonnet, and come down to the the kind of prices that the everyday person can actually afford.

Sounds like they have a lot of issues for a supposedly premium car or is that not the case... reliability. My son's needed a starter which was a $450 repair l paid for..then something with the key thing..the battery..the sunroof..

I have a 2005 CLK 55 AMG and I am not sure about the suspension but In Sport/Comfort modes, the steering unit does change feedback. Same when the Stability control is turned off. It actually changes so much that it almost mimics electronic dampeners.

An amazing car. One of the best Renault has ever produced. Comfort speed reliability. Better than the average German car.

I think the car was scored down a bit after all. It is worth 20-21 out of 25. Think tech and equipment are from 2008-2013. And think about that weapon!😅😅😅

just wanted to share my experience in regards to the clutch on this car. when i bought it, the clutch was a bit jerky (180,000 miles original clutch assembly). i replaced master and slave cylinders. that didn't help much - it was still jerky. been told that car needs a new dual mass along with the plates (£1200) so i decided to chance it. i learned double clutching which was very helpful. i managed to squeeze 60,000 miles of this clutch!!! in the end i was 5x clutching - basically pumping it before every junction. dual mass very shaky. lots of whine too. stalled probably 100 times. someone told me that this clutch has self latching bolts which tighten the assembly as it wears of?

I’ve had one of these (2.0 v tech petrol) for around 100,000 miles many of them dodgy Scottish single track roads and it is brilliant. It meets a specific need for me which is four kids and two big dogs. Most 7 seaters have no boot space whatsoever once back seats are up. This has pretty decent boot space for two labs. Also it is wide so with roof bars I can get a roof box and two bike rack on the roof. Only problem is having a kids chatting away in the middle where ever you go.

I've never run either of those cars long term, but I will say that the VRX is a very thirsty car, and to be honest, not a very reliable one either. But when it works, it's glorious.

It's a gorgeous car! I would love to own one ... ... but the pity is: _That the fuel consumption is quite high, for example for 2.0 diesel version, is around 9.6/100km for innercity! Don't know for this version!?

For one of these, the most significant potential problem is likely to be rust, especially around the wheel arches. So make sure you check well for that.

I recently bought the renualt Laguna coupe mines a 2 litre 150 hsp manual transmission it’s a very very sweet car low mileage for a 2009 has some bad points yes but any car has bad points especially with some electrical issues but I’m sorting them out has the previous owner neglected it but I love the car and it drives so well I can live with the harsh ride has the seats are so supportive I’m happy with the purchase 😊

I owned a 07` CLK 320 CDI 7G Avantgarde, with the same interior, and when I sold it at 12 years mark with 250k mileage on it, still looked totally new, all the metal-leather-carpet-plastic was superb, no scratches no wear no tear. Unfuckingbelivable quality and craftsmenship. Look at this beast, they dont make you F1 safety car if you are not the best : 2.bp.blogspot.com/-kjWScoVb-iQ/UF2cBCe0XwI/AAAAAAAAFPg/dTFB8n4On1I/s1600/Mercedes_w209_clk63amg_safety_car-1.JPG To be honest, exactly what you could expect from a premium car. Every single day I drive another car , I still miss the torque, the power, the drive, the premium feeling, never got tired even after 10-12 hours non stop journeys. And it turned heads whereever I parked it although it costed 12k when I bought.. People thought its worth 50k at least. I hope to get back to CLK e55 amg or onet 320 cdi one day..

Got the 2009 320CDI Sport - agree great looks...in fact go so far as to say one of nicest ever looking Mercs. Reckon will become classic, especially later as better rear end. If you like a bit more performance go for a remap. Can get amazing extra 60 to 70 bhp and even 3 to 4 mpg on long run on a mix remap. Can get 40 plus mpg on long run. Fab car all around. Love it!

I have the straight 6 320 CDI E Class AMG. They are fantastic cars. Though verily if you have a diesel it is essential to have a stage one remap! It took the FOXMOBILE from 207 hp to 275 hp......and it kicks ass!!!...................💪

I have a CLK500 V8 5.0 and a BMW E92 320D 184hp remap, i prefer the BMW for handling, sportness and steering wheel feeling, very superb . I found CLK's steering wheel a bit numb and the handling is not good as the Bmw , but when you have a V8 on it, you'll have a big smile too. Great car indeed , very good quality overall and very technological also for a 20 years old car, i love both😊

@DreamCarGarage1

what do you think of the ride?
@Clint_Beastwood87
@Clint_Beastwood87 Год назад
@@DreamCarGarage1 I dont have many negatives, except random creeking sounds on dashboard on the passenger side when engine is cold at low revs but goes away once engine warms up. Window buttons are first to die but easy to replace. As for driving, as you said sometimes bumpy road feels like it doesnt have suspension and its loud inside. On the other hand its super comfortable, plenty of room in the front for a coupe and sitting in another car feels like i downgraded in space and seat comfort and its somehow quiet on well paved roads. For its weight, size and 200hp it relatively ok fuel consumer but it gives me so much power in mid-range when i want to overtake and it makes me feel safe and in control. Overall i get compliments for looks on a daily basis. If it werent for the renault logo behind, people would think its aston martin. I fell in love with this car and i will probably drive it for very very long time.

BMW only wanted Rover for the Land/Range Rover tech and the Mini and also used the development work already done on the Rover 45 replacement and made it the 1 series . They also didnt want any of the cars to compete with their own equivalents, so purposely under powered them , this is a well documented fact. They also sold MGR with the conditions that they were not allowed to make a 4x4 or a small/mini... Rover tried to get around the small/mini by buying the Tata and rebadging it , which was a massive fail . BMW were greedy and had no intention of making MG Rover a success , Unlike VW who bought Skoda and wanted it to succeed , they invested and didnt mind that the cars competed with their own as it`s all proffit ! Rover could have easily been a success , they should have stuck with Honda for one . Having said all that Rover is still a car company , they only make 4x4`s now though as Rover brand name was never sold as it`s still part of Land Rover and Tata files tax returns every year for the car division , hence why the Chinese couldn't use the name and had to call them Roewe lol .
