Ive been working on a b230 swap in my 71 142S also running a pair of weber DCOEs. I’m almost ready to fire the engine up for the first time but am guessing it’s going to be pretty tricky to tune. I would love to check this thing out if you bring it to any local shows! I’m in CT as well.
Tuning is not an easy task and took a ton of research to figure out. There are emulsion tubes that need to be adjust just right. These controll your air and fuel mixtures for both idle and high speed. There also is a method to adjust the carbs themselves and it mostly done by ear and a vaccum gauge. Happy to help you!
@@deepwizard1960 good to know! It looks like your running a 123ignition distributor, is it the tune+? I have the same distributor but am having trouble finding anything online for what my advance curve should look like, even just a baseline that I can start at and fine tune from there. I'm curious how you set yours up?
The exhaust is a header that I got out of Sweden. The muffler is from IDP. Its the sport exhaust. I had to have a custom stainless steel pipe installed to connect the header and the muffler. Sound really good. Not to loud.
20 years ago I found a 1934 Ford 5 Window Coupe with 24000 original miles Fender spare tire with the window vent. The inside is like brand new. Paid $1,000 for it I got lucky.
