I grew up in Iowa. The greatest thing I ever did with my life was leaving in my early 20s. I'm now the highest earning individual from my graduating class and I've thrived. Prior to leaving Iowa I was a constant victim of the criminal justice system dating back to the time I was 7 years old. Small city politics are not good for a big city personality. As I aged and some of the kids I grew up with became cops, it only got worse. I became a victim with a life full of trauma bc I grew up in a poor family and liked to smoke weed?! It's just redundant. I've never had a problem with law enforcement since I left. When I first moved to a large city I had no clue that police racism was real, bc the police in Iowa are so bored that they pick on everyone equally. Outside of that, there is no opportunity, no industry, no future in Iowa unless you want to become an insurance agent. What's even worse is that the state continues to be plagued by Left policy that trickles down from urban areas like DSM, CR or IC and the desires and policies of these citizens do not reflect the values of the overwhelming rural population. Add save it growing up in Iowa is one of my largest resentments in life. In a more prosperous and populated city, somebody like me would never be bothered by the police. There are an overwhelming number of communities in Iowa that only thrive because of the tyranny of law enforcement.
The child sex trafficing is only the tip of the iceberg . The real question to ask is , ' who is useing these children ? ' The answer is not undocumented or illegal immigrants . The answer is , mainly , white Christian men . Any man using a child for sex knows he is commiting an offence . There are NO excuses or mitigating circumstances for an adult to exploit and use a child for sex . Remove the customer , you remove the crime and and save the victim .

My question is why do these people committing these crimes feel that is there only recourse to express themselves. Even if you were successful talking all the guns out of society you still haven’t addressed the lack of humanity in our society. I’m not willing to forego my constitutional right for your flawed perception of safety. I didn’t do anything wrong so I won’t be forced to participate in group punishment.
I think a large part of the problem in our society is because we’ve allowed firearms to become a big part of it. Guns were designed to kill, whether it be for humans or animals.
