I used to be a trumpet player in six grade and it was extremely hard. Everyone else got the concepts, but I was having a lot of trouble. I ended up quitting and moving to percussion where I remained even 4 years later.I always have sympathy for trumpet players being out of tune because I know how hard it is.
Not really an epic fail. This is the point where you splat and blatt, and everyone is a hot mess, and nobody stops at the same time holding a whole damn whole note
We had one of these happen at my middle school. Ironically, it was the eighth grade band that had the failure, and they were probably the best of the three grades at our school. The kid stood up to play his solo, took a deep breath, and absolutely bombed it.
........................we,ve ALL been there at some point , it,s part and parcel of learning to play solos , hope it didn,t put him off for future concerts .
I know that trumpet player his name is steve and I was I the LMS high school where he was in and I saw him always crying but it turns out that his girlfriend left him in 2016.
Der Leiter des Orchesters hätte das Stück niemals aufführen dürfen da es noch nicht sitzt. Damit ist nicht nur der Solist gemeint sondern der musizierende Rest genau so. Der Junge macht noch seinen Weg
I just got this exact solo in a community band. I was just reminded of this video and it brought me back to the times where I completely whiffed a solo. Nothing bad in concerts, but they were still great teaching moments. This poor guy probably wore himself out playing this instrument and couldn’t hold a note, which doesn’t mean he’s a bad player.
In 6th grade, I failed a very intense solo and I was so disappointed in myself that I barely recovered until 8th grade. This person did great. My fail was a great learning experience though!
Pretty much the entire band is out of tune including the trumpet player and that's the fault of the director. Trumpet is a very easy instrument to fail to hit notes with. Kid tried his best.
The 'epic fail' is not by the trumpeter, but by the ignorant person who recorded this video and thought it was a good idea to expose it for all of the world to see with a malicious title. Oh, and you can even hear them laugh in the recording. Truly embarrassing.
What is the name of the music he's attempting to play, 🤔idk. Wonderful effort, I can remember them kinda of experiences, it's not enjoyable, yet great memories and motivators for future recitals, reason for practice, practice make one better prepared so that isn't repeated 😳😏😌👌✌👍👍😇
Five years ago, I had to play the second movement from Haydn at a performance. Nothing nervewrecking, just kind people in the audience. Yet I failed because I was so nervous that I couldn't play a note. I quitted trumpetplaying after this. Sold all my beloved trumpets exept one. This summer, however, I re-started trumpetplaying. Joined a local orchestra and I'm relearning how to play. I've got huge respect for my brother trumpetter in this video and hope he did not do what I did.
Yeah people don't realize how big a deal this could be to him, he could have been practicing for hours, or not at all, either way he was probably embarrassed, and the laughing and posting the recording really don't help. Literally why are people laughing it's disrespectful af, especially in music, you respect people that go up and play solos at all.
