Norm is such an underrated Phantom. He is my third favorite Phantom behind Ramin + Eiji. He really nails the “you” and doesn’t bring the vibrato in too early. Extremely impressive performance 🙏
I’m different from you, in the literal sense is true, yet all of them still hit the emotional woe of Pierre so perfectly. Oh, god, I wish for a revival, then we’ll be in a never ending loop of Pierre/Letters comparisons.
@@ClumpedUpGooDude I’m excited for the London production. Hoping to make another Dust & Ashes one. It wasn’t in the Off-Bway production so I didn’t update that one.
@@blue_musicals Here we go again! I knew that the marvel of a song that is Dust and Ashes wasn’t in the off-Broadway production (which is crazy. It has made me cry so many times and is such a needed Pierre song but I digress) but I had no idea about a London production. You’ve got me excited now!
@@ClumpedUpGooDude Yep!!! It’s supposed to run December 2024-February 2025. But there’s a chance it’ll transfer to a different venue after and run even longer!
Fabulous! I saw the Josh-fronted version, but did not have an opportunity to return to catch Oak before he left...something I regret because I knew he would be an outstanding Pierre. This is the first I've heard with him in the role...thanks so much!!!
If I had a nickel for every Legally Blonde alumnus who played Fiyero, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s still strange that it happened twice.
Other reasons spoiled Oak's performance for me. I think Dave does justice to the song in a way many people don't expect. To have it be more emotional, and it feels like Pierre in the book singing it.
Dont worry pal, im also a baritone, yeah our voices a alil bit more thick but we have as much flexibility as tenors, tho we need to experiment a lil bit we can still enjoy life singing my dude. Even Leslie Odom Jr is a Baritone! And he was great!
OH MY GOD????? it’s hard to tell in the cast recording just how much of a balancing act those choral parts are, but it REALLY comes through when he powers up that climactic note! i literally am gagged, speechless, it’s everythijg
