What jets did you use when you rejetted it? I am thinking about getting the slasher exhaust for my 2007 wr250f and I would like to know if I should rejet it or not. I really like your bike btw
I know this is an old video, but what jets did you use when you rejetted your bike? I am thinking about getting the slasher exhaust for my 2007 wr250f. Please respond if you can. Thank you
This pipe is still pretty loud; probably about the same as an un-corked two bros, if not a little quieter. It's a pretty deep tone that the small camera mic doesn't really pick up as well. I haven't run a db test to give maningful numbers, but the rangers out at Hungry Valley haven't hassled me about the sound... yet.
Drew Beccue Thanks for the response! It sounds great and the price is incredible for a full exhaust system, everything else is $400+. Do you know of any quiet insert options?
Worked it out, keep pressing mode until in screen 3, then press ^ (up) button to switch between total hours ridden and total distance travelled. Sorry i had to pointlessly answer my own question on your vid ha
I hate how dark the dashboard icons are. I just ordered one about a month ago and now I am constantly leaving my turn signals on. I think I'm going to have to add a clicker from a car so I can at least hear it.
This actually is the standard silver underneath, but has the black dash that clips on over the base unit. That way I have signal, neutral, and high-beam indicators like the stock computer. They do make a black "stealth" model, but the color is the only difference between them. I added a link for the dash (w/ bracket) to the video description...
Drew, See the LeCroy_Owners_Group on Yahoo! Groups for firmware for your scope (in the files section) also manuals etc, at ko4bb.com Sam Moderator and Owner LeCroy_Owners_Group
I just realized I should probably post a link to the exact one for your raptor, it's in the description. It's the shop I work for, so I'll make sure you get the right one.
It's pretty easy, especially if you want to use the bar-mount kit that comes with it. The electrical is pretty simple: 1 - Power and ground wires, of course. 2 - An RPM sensor wire that just wraps around the spark plug wire. 3 - Coolant/engine temp sensor, if you want to use it. 4 - The speed sensor pickup & trigger bolt. All those things are covered pretty well in the instructions; the hardest part is calibrating the tire size. I use a handheld GPS to calibrate mine when changing tires now.
i want to put the Trail Tech Vapor Computer Dashboard on a 2008 yamaha raptor 350, is it hard to install? and does it just hook to the battery or something or is it more complicated?
@RideLVC Either a hardware problem or you messed up somehow one switching the the roms back.. This can happen. if you dont do it right and mess up it can cause your phone to flicker. But thats just my guess on what happened...
I put CM7 on the phone 3 days after getting it to try and fix the SOD issue (which didn't work). It WAS working fine for almost a month before this problem started. I'll put the original 2.2 back on from my nandroid backup and see if it helps... although I doubt it. It may just be coincidence, but running the phone with the battery cover off fixes this temporarily. I can cause it to crash almost immediately by sliding the cover back on. This is why I think it's hardware... weird, right?
This is 38spencer38's friend, I'm about 90 percent sure it's water cooled cuz you can here it after we ride for a couple hours. I'm getting the trail tech vapor for my yz 125z
@38spencer38 It should all mount up the same... I'm not sure, but isn't the 250 air cooled? If it is, you'll have to get a different temp sensor than the standard DRZ kit. Other than that, it'll be almost a direct bolt on :-)
@MaraJade13243 The electrical was pretty easy. I left the OEM connectors in place and, after finding the appropriate wires in the harness immediately behind the connectors, used tap-splices for power, neutral light, and signals. The tach was simple: run the negative to one of the engine mount bolts with a ring terminal for ground, and put a few wraps of the sense wire around the spark plug wire w/ a zip tie to keep it in place. Temp and speed sensors came w/ everything ready to wire. POC :-)
how tough is the install? i'm going to order one for my 400sm and i'm considering having the techs at my job install it because it's been about 3 years since i've done anything that had to do with electrical so i'm kind of iffy about doing it myself.
@pihguam I had to make the mount because I have KX250F top clamps on the DRZ, but even that was easy. The air temp seems to run a little high (3-4 deg), but that could be heat coming of the headlights or just being in the sun. Other than that, it's been perfect.
Have you had any issues with this so far? How was the installation and mounting? I am just about to buy one, but would like to know if there any issue that I should be aware of..
