Welcome to the official SIGCHI RU-vid channel. SIGCHI, the ACM's Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction, is the premier international society for professionals, academics and students who are interested in human-technology & human-computer interaction (HCI). For more information, please visit www.sigchi.org/
This channel features videos from CHI, the top conference for Human-Computer Interaction, and other specialised conferences (www.sigchi.org/conferences). In addition, it also features other SIGCHI community content.

I'm interested to pepper's ghost tecnich. to use cone che i usa a device that is not mac family? How to distort video in order to rebuild it by cone? Or can apply a simple 3d video and apply a cone.
I imagine 4 cameras in tetrahedral corners of the playspace, instead of lighthouses. More cameras means more information means better tracking. Why are we still strapping stuff to our bodies?
Are there updates to this system? Perhaps a way to integrate it into already existing titles? The new Forza Motorsport is fantastic, but I want more options.
While I appreciate the information provided by the video, the base assumptions are flawed/to plain. The first problem is that depending on how you grip and use your mouse, your preference will change. This is because of the different index finger position. Humans have used their index finger for thousands of years as their main precision pointer. Why would we start to use our palms now? It's totally not intuitive and produces minimal errors therefore. The higher your DPI setting the more the problem will escalate. Which brings us to problem number 2: "extreme high DPI". I've been addicted to high DPI since Counter Strike 1.6 with a Razor Boomslang @ 2000DPI @ 800x600. Now I am sitting on 25.000 DPI @ FullHD and can cover my entire desktop within 1 cm². My "Finger-movement" allows me to eliminate any angle movement coming from the wrist or elbow since I don't use em for aiming. The problem with such crazy DPI is that the offset of the sensor (not being under my index finger) drives me crazy. I'm holding my mouse in a very awkward position to minimize this problem in shooting games. But my main point is about the index finger. Look at people who digitally draw pictures/CAD/3D. They need maximum precision and most of em use some kind of pen (w/o tablet) or a trackball, but only very few rely on a normal mouse. The sole problem with those pen mouse are, that those currently available cap at 1600 DPI. And that DPI is so low (compared to current screen resolutions) that it's not good for gaming. Remind you, I was using 2000DPI already for 800x600. High sense (high DPI) gamer rely more on precision than low sense gamer. Because low sense means longer mouse travel time and thus more time for correcting your path/movement. While high sense gamers rely more on flick-shots where you need high precision in a very short time window.
