Ensemble Teodora was founded in 1947 as a part of the work organization of the tobacco factory in Niš. Our mission is to collect, preserve and cherish the customs of Serbian people and all the people who live in our country. We promote our tradition through the specific forms of folk dances and songs. The repertoire of the ensemble comprises some thirty choreographies which come mainly from those ethnochoreological areas where Serbian people live. The authors of the choreographies are recognized experts in this field of artistic work. Teodora is one of the leading folk ensembles in southern Serbia. In addition to dancing ensemble, which consists of more than 60 boys and girls, the Folk Orchestra, together with several vocal solists, is active as well. We have took part in European and international festivals.
