Wundervoll Ich liebe diesen alten Kram, aber ich woĺlte niemals in so einem Haus wohnen Zu gross im Winter nicht warm zu bekommen u ständig von fremden Menschen umgeben die jeden Schritt belauern Scheusslich
Restored and furnished under the guidance of the masterly curator Daru Rooke, who was the best thing that happened to this remarkable house in recent years.
I can imagine what a peasant back then would have thought about living in such luxury! Aside from my microwave and WIFI, I would not miss much else living in a building like this.
Thank you for this. As an old American, I will never see these in person, so I am happy that you're willing to use your time and energy to make these videos.
This place cancelled wedding(s), to house migrants. One day they will want your custom back, reconsider using this hotel. The lease on this hotel was sold 5 years ago from the N.U.T. to Talash Hotels Ltd a company run by Ravi and Sanjay Kathuria.
As I went back to the top to hit like, I saw I wasn't subscribed. Your stuff shows up in my feed all the time. I was sure I was subscribed...you may want to check with RU-vid. Whatever the case, I'm certainly subscribed now.
I had to see people near the exterior before I realized the large scale of the house. Even so, compared to Elizabethan "prodigy" houses like Burghley, Gawthorpe has an appealing pocket-manor aspect in it's compactness and symmetry. The interiors seem so fresh I think they might be Victorian. If not, their state of preservation is astonishing. That indicates residents (and servants) over several hundred years who cared for it with faithful love. I'm a sucker for paneled rooms that leave stone door frames exposed, so that stair hall is my kind of gorgeous. The terraced half-round garden is breathtaking. When I noticed the person near the center, I was again struck by the deceptive scale. The plantings are tall enough to be like a maze, and it's monumental. Things are seldom both monumental and beautiful; but this is, and I've not seen anything like it. While the music isn't my personal favorite, this video is a little gem like your others. Thank you so much!
This castle is amazing and no video does it justice. I spent an evening here back in the early 90’s for a Halloween party. Keeps getting better as the years go bye. Ive tried to watch anything that pops up on this place and the evolution of everyones hard work is wonderful to witness.
Cuthbert Clifton of Lytham, Lancs was the first owner of Lytham Manor. The Cliftons were a gentle family and I think of them was raised to the peerage as a baron.
Why no information about this building; who built it and when? At least add a small lettering to the video. It’s a disservice to post something like this.😡😡😡
Amazing property ..the amount and the quality of details is superb.....pity though that the rooms are so poorly furnished, even by hotels' standards.....
Fantastic - those ceilings are the most intricate designs I have ever seen - beautiful - I found myself contemplating how to do a ceiling in that mode in my house !
