I know this is a different situation but this reminded me of The Kite Runner book incident (Trigger warning SA)⚠️ It's a very sad story that we read in English class About two boys in Afcanishtan, One Hazara boy Hassan so incredibly loyal to his friend Amir who is a scared child desperate for his fathers attention and love and doesn't truly respect Hassan and all he does I won't go into details here but Hassan ends up getting SA as Amir just sits there and hearing all of it but he could not bring himself to go and defend Hassan My English class kept making it sound like Amir is a terrible person for this Kept downgrading him again and again but I could never honestly answer those questions Amir was a CHILD he did nothing wrong! He could have got them both killed had he stepped in and the guy who assaulted Hassan should have NEVER done it in the first place It wasn't Amirs fault what that kid did to Hassan and he shouldn't have had to carry the guilt of someone elses actions for the rest of his life! He was a barely a teenager! It's a terrible situation that just keeps getting worse It's a good book but I don't like reading it in English class💔😔

I feel like Steven was like a mix of Marc's favorite character (Dr. Steven Grant) from "Tomb Buster" and RoRo/Randall (maybe what he thought he would be like when he grew up?). Steven has Dr. Grant's name, accent, adventurous nature and love for history. But Steven is also anxious and unsure (bonus points because he has the one-finned fish as a pet and named him Gus) like Randall was when Marc said they could play in the tunnels. Steven is like a little brother to Marc. He's sworn to protect him becauss he couldn't save his brother.Steven is a mix of a fictive alter and an alter based off of someone real, too. That's what I love about this show. Aside from all the exciting action, superhero stuff and mythology... there's AMAZING representation of DID and psychosis. 11/10 show.
