My fiat abarth hasn't made over 10 psi for the last 2 years, never bothered me as long as it was still running and driving( I've had to pull the trans and various other intensive repairs over the years) but I finally decided to try and adjust the wastegate today before replacing the turbo and it fixed my boost issues. I followed the video and did 3 turns. Ive been beating on it all day and it feels great to hit full boost again 🍺 🍻
hi,sorry for bringing up the old comment, but i have to ask,is everything okay with the turbo/car?I also adjusted the rod by 3 full turns today so I'm curious 😂
Hi, I am about to do this and I am wondering what you meant by reflash the tune? If I unplug the battery and do what you did in the video and then plug it back when I’m done will that do the job?
when you say you had to reflash the tune do you mean you simply just wrote over the ecu with your tune file again? or did you flash back to stock, and then with the tune file again? OR did you flash to stock, re-read the ecu, and get a revised tune from the vendor?
I just Flash the tune already on the car again. I had to watch the video again. It's been like 7 years since I made this video. I could not remember. Also This mod is still on my car and still no problems.
I'm a bigginer, do the command module fit the surge holder module? Also can I connect my phone or what ever to the command and play alongside music from Spotify? Thanks for the info, I do hear the command as a better sound.
The command module I upgrade too had a new mount with it. I don't remember if the surge mount would work or not. With the command module you can connect you phone or what to it and play along. You can also put songs onto a jump drive and play along with it.
That's awesome dude how did it hookup is it the same hookup on the surg kit ? I have the same kit and want too change the module like you did Ty for posting
This is not the appropriate boost leak fix. Anyone curious on how to properly route the boost leak should refer to Eurocompulsion’s boost leak fix kit as well as the corresponding install video for it. Again DO NO TRY THIS METHOD. Your EVAP purge system will not work properly!
I think it depends on the year. My is a 2013. The guys from Eurocompulsion guy looked at my car a few years ago at a car event.. they said it was fine. On that note yes buy from Eurocompulsion . Then you have all the parts you need ready to go.
Finally someone explained and demo'd the differences between the two. I am in the market for an E-Kit for my daughter for her first kit, as well as for me to mess around with. So I even called Alesis, and they told me the main difference was only the module being the $200 difference, but that the Command has a lot more options. They did not tell me that there was a difference in the sound quality.
Good video. I am sure it has been mentioned, but you don't need to remove the rod from the arm. The inside of the vacuum actuator is a round diaphragm, so all you have to do is break the nut loose and turn the splined shaft on the actuator end. Take a paint marker and make a reference dot on the shaft, that way you can count the number of turns.
basically lots of guess work in this video, sorry, but I can do that myself. I found this other video and it was obvious he has done this before where I don't think you have, so many things you didn't need to do here.. Here is the link, see the difference? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gM7YVVXIP2k.html
Thanks a lot for the video. Did you have to update the firmware for the lens? How does the autofocus perform with the tamron 24-70 g1 compared to a DSLR?
Lmaoooo nooo you shouldn’t do that my man😂😂😂 all you gotta do is twist the nut on the waist gate rod to either build more boost or decrease boost. Btw if you loosen it too much you have a chance of damaging the turbocharger by the piston inside making too much contact with the opposing metal shroud, it’s best to just take it to a performance shop because too much boost and not enough fuel will lean out the motor and you also could use a better fuel pump and a tune definitely (as well as bigger fuel injectors to dump more fuel down) but I hope you didn’t damage it and nice car my man
Absolutely incorrect statement for this vehicle. The nut on the Abarth/turbo waste gate rod assembly is a jam nut and doesn't actually adjust anything. You have to back the jam nut off the adjustment rod to allow freedom of the tang end to rotate, so you can adjust the preload distance by spinning the rod to the desired preload amount. Then, you snug the jam nut back against the rod which retains the tang orientation and preload length you set it to.
Wtf are talking about ? Are you daffy or you just effing with people, for your sake I hope you’re only joking man , to everyone wise disregard this asinine comment
Thx for sharing that Kerry. I have the z6 and I’m very pleased with this camera also. I’m using a Nikkor 70-300 AF-P that also works very well with the adaptor and the 24-70 kit lens that’s super sharp
As a Abarth owner and fan, I follow a lot of RU-vid sites, this by far is the best tutorial for rear shocks I have seen! U saved me a bucket of money man!!! Since I did not know I was gonna fork over cash to the stealership, before I learned from u. Thx very much!
Thanks, Big help, I ripped off the front due to heavy snow as I was trying to back out of my driveway ironically to clear the snow before going to work so end result, the whole front got ripped off including the plugs for the turn signals and the foglamps,
Don't forget to tighten the shock mount bolts with the car on the ground or the rear swing beam in the position it will be in at rest. Failure to do so means the rubber bushes will be stretched at rest and even more so on compression of rear suspension which leads to tearing and early failure. Nice car though!
