I live near iad so i normally go there for my flight in the beginning of 2023 I went to IAD to catch my flight to Doha then after doha i went to lahore pakistan I think is was on a a350 or 777-300er for one of the routes
We live in Butte Larose. Its at the Airborne Memorial/Rest Area exit. We were driving Eastbound at around 10pm. Near Whiskey Bay, a bluish orb flew past us traveling west in our lane, going the opposite direction. We had to swerve to miss it. It was 2 or 3ft above the road and near the railing. Weve never told anyone about this for obvious reasons. There was a few cars behind us. Im sure they witnessed it as well. Im not crazy and my girlfriend also saw it. I was driving. This world isnt what it seems.
Don't understand the problem of crossing that bridge! I am from IA and I thought it was one of great American engineers to design and build you going to boat across the lake???
Drove this for a solid 20 years until 2020 to go to work in New Orleans. I haven’t driven it since. I don’t miss it. Driving at rush hours is hairy. Being led across in “convoys” on Winter fog mornings at 30mph is hell (our fog gets thick like probably no one except the residents of the English moors would recognize). Accidents back up traffic for hours. Then there are the average of half a dozen people a year that end up in the water with their car. Most don’t survive.
I have never driven over this bridge but want to. It sounds similar to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge where I have driven over it dozens of times. I hopefully will cross this bridge off my bucket list.
I was born in New Orleans. Raised in Mississippi. I moved back to Nola and spent a decade there. I've been in Austin TX for 8 years. I will never ever live in New Orleans again
