I use the air touch for over a year and only complaint I have is since it’s more narrow than the air fit it caused a deep wrinkle on the side of my face. I wish it was wider like the air fit
I finally was able to order the nova micro pillow from Canada to ship to US... I'll let you know how it's like... been using respironics nuance for years...
Didn't know a brush was available. SUGGESTION - Find a way to push something through the hose like a soft silicone squeegee to remove most of the water (after cleaning with brush) which would allow remaining dampness to evaporate in a few minutes, not a few hours. SOOOOO maybe a squeegee is already commercially available???
I use the Medistrom batteries and can get 2+ nights (8hours per night. I’ll be hiking the PCT in 2025 and am looking to integrate a solar panel (reasonable size and weight) to replace 1 of my 3 batteries. Trying to stay under 5lbs (total CPAP kit) with a week long or more back country section. Any recommendations for a smallish lightweight solar setup?
I find your reviews to be very well researched. You put in a lot of time on content and it shows. Congrats to you! One thing bugs me. No more "squishy nose" talk. It's been mentioned too many times.
haha we appreciate it! Trust me, I'd rather not mention it. But over 97% of our viewers are non-subscribers and first time viewers. So I need to make sure these videos are informative to those who aren't familiar with me! But thanks for the positive vibes, we appreciate your support!
I just got the F40 for my Airsense 10. It’s taking come getting use to cause I used a nasal mask before. I just got a AirMini for travel. Is it strong enough to power the f40 with an adapter?
Thank you! I have extreme obstructive sleep apnea and my doctor wants me to get another sleep study before renewing my prescription. However, getting an appointment for a sleep study has a 6 month waiting list. In the meantime my CPAP broke and someone gave me an identical Resmed 10. So I just need to change the settings to match my own.
WOW 6 months! Crazy. Have you heard of WatchPAT? They are an at home sleep test. We sell them for $179 CAD so check with your doctor if you think this is a good speedy option. It's a simple 1 night sleep test and much more convenient than the ones at clinics.
I get my tomorrow - scares the crap out of me, I was told I had to use it for 9 months are the insurance wouldn't pay for it. I just hope there a grace period until I can use it every night, hate to pay 1k for a machine I can't use. Done the sleep test twice once with no mask the next one was with a mask on hated it. Done only 4 four hours. It seem simple and keeping it clean every day wth. I was hoping I can do the nose one. Full mask is hard for me to breath.
If you have trouble getting used to it, ask your doctor if you can try the first month with slightly lower pressure. Many people do this. We have videos on accessing the 'clinical' menu if you want to change it yourself. The biggest thing with CPAP is the mask. Once you find the right mask, it makes it much more pleasant. Massive difference in comfort using a P10 vs F20. But like anything, it takes some practice. Good Luck! - T
Replace my f20 cushion and the air now is leaking with a horrible noise. Try to back the old cushion, same result. I think I lost my f20 and it’s so expensive
just agitated some dish soap on the bristles and rinse it off. Eventually you should replace your brush, but most people use it for 2-4 years before replacing.
I do the opposite with drying equipment: dry first and hang later. I have two of everything (two masks, two hoses, two humidifiers) which I thoroughly clean every four days. On these cleaning days I wash out everything and then use Airplane Mode on my CPAP machine for 20 minutes to dry the inside of the humidifier, hose and mask. Make sure your humidifier is totally empty before you do this, with no residue of water from washing. After that, humidifier, mask and hose are hung up, dry (or dry-ish) until they are needed, fresh as a daisy, four days later. Then I switch the two sets around. The reason I place so much emphasis on drying for multiple days is that I want no buildup of microbes from the hose being hung up damp. I also find that simply hanging the hose up after washing does not get it truly dry. The Airplane Mode technique gets it truly dry.
I have a question. I have a zero water filter pitcher that reads 0 TDS. Can I use this zero water with my machine? No problem with calcium build up. I bought a distiller machine 3 years ago but the water now smells horrible. So I cleaned my machine with vinegar & citric acid and removed the charcoal packet. But it takes 4 to 5 hours to filter 1 gallon. That’s a lot of electricity. I was buying gallons of water from the store but for some reason they’ve been out for months. That’s why I bought the distiller. What do you think?
Great video. But how do I keep the air on continuously, without turning itself off? Mine is also a Resmed Airsense 10 and it senses that it's not being actively used, so it turns the air off after about 5 seconds. Obviously there is a way to override this, since you have done so in this video. Please tell me how to do that.
Something not mentioned about the comfort of the F&P Evora is the sandpaper Velcro at the top of the head strap. Where the adjustment point is, there is a small amount of hard sandpaper feeling Velcro that scrapes my head and caused a sore within a couple of nights. He has a full head of hair and would not notice this, but for my bald head, I need a bandage now. It's also horrible for a side sleeper and I wish my CPAP tech knew better since I told him I was a side sleeper.
Guess I'm lucky as I just started CPAP 3 months ago and this is the mask I started with. It's super comfortable and I love the front swivel. it makes it easy to switch sides when I sleep. I am mostly a side sleeper, sometimes a back sleeper, but I get more events on my back. Another benefit of the front clip is that if I wake up to use the bathroom, I can simply unhook the front tube and I don't need to take the mask off. It clips on and off very easy, even in a half dream state 😊 I started my jouney with 27 "events" per hour. Thanks to the Airsense 11 and this mask, I average less than one now. Absolutely cured.
I have an Airsense 10 and use nasal mask, I keep straps tight and don't notice excessive leaking, yet my display screen usually shows excess leaking in red "unhappy face". Is there something else causing this?
Great overview. I bought an airsense 11 from a Sleep clinic last summer. Biggest scam ever. I wish I seen this video before. I feel more confident taking control of my Apnea with CPAP after watching your videos. Next time I need supplies or advice I will be ordering from you.
The FDA has an actual video on the dangers of UV and Ozone Cpap cleaners. I went from researching the best one, to just going back to the old sink with soap and vinegar.
Thanks for another great video. I’m in the US. I’d like to get that particular raptor model. I only see the one that sits on the floor. Can you please provide the model number. Thank You!!!
