Welcome to Jim's Classic Cards! I open all kinds of cards: vintage and modern sports cards, Pokemon, MTG, and more. I reignited my passion for collecting over five years ago and have been avidly acquiring new packs and cards since. I’m excited to share my collection with you and to open some packs for the first time together!
I would never buy a loose "factory sealed" 86 wax pack. The chances of it being tampered with is probably closer to triple digit percentile 🤣 I can see it now they open 10 packs, reseal with an iron wax paper and resell 9 especially caca packs. Unless you find a box, packs or MJ rookie card in an attic or basement clean out I wouldn't trust it.
My 4th grade teacher confiscated cards and gave them away on the last day of school. She gave me my first few cards, this must have been 1954 or 55.. I was hooked. The excitement of opening a pack was with you while watching. Seems to be there should have been 6 cards in the pack. Someone tampered with it long ago.
Was one card away from a complete set in ‘65. Needed Warren Spahn. Traded a kid 13 Marvel comics for Spahn. The comics would probably be worth 100k today if in great condition…. but they weren’t. We rolled them up and carried them in our pockets, and read them over and over, loaned them to friends to read. Mom sold the ‘65 set in a garage sale when I went off to college in ‘71. I got a buck for them.
I already know what’s gonna happen. He doesn’t pull a Jordan rookie and people in the comments section or him will say the pack was searched cuz he didn’t get a Jordan rookie. That he was scammed. I don’t know people always say that. Not saying this guy would say that.
Doc Edwards, Hal Woodeshick and Max Alvis. Most fans would have known them. Lewis and Roznovsky probably cup of coffee guys that only Mets and Cubs fan knew. IMO #1 Doc #2 Max #3 Woodeshick #4/5 Lewis/Roznovsky
Wow dude said he didn’t pull anything shows don’t know much about basketball smh dudes like this who only search for Jordan are so cringe to watch. He legit pulled a rookie Barkley then also pulled a George Gervin, Magic Johnson, Worthy and Wilkins. Pulled all those greats that could still sell for a good decent price. And then he handles the cards the way he does. Smh 🤦♂️ man that was hard to watch.
sometime in the 80s, these cards were in Halloween packs, 10 packs in a bag for 50 cents.. my buddy and I bought all they had and I had hundreds of the cards, probably 50 Bird/Johnson cards or more.. sold them as a lot to a flea market dealer, didn't keep one
