Hello and welcome to Wes' Watch Room (formerly Mr Budget Watch), I'm Wes and this is my channel all about budget watches. I'll mostly be covering affordable timepieces under £300, but I'll occasionally cover more premium stuff too as everybody has a different budget to spend.
What else to expect...
On my channel you can also be witness to the good and bad of watch collecting as it's not all rainbows and unicorns. We're talking broken watches, getting scammed, bad watches and much more. Don't worry, it's not all doom and gloom, I'll be sure to share the good moments too.
Sounds like fun?
Why not become a subscriber and become apart of the budget watch fam.
I believe Bulova's quartz movement is 16 beats/sec. Very smooth. I'm sure Seiko could easily make something like that, but as you say they wouldn't want to cannibalize the spring drive. Also, the spring drive is just cooler in how it combines mechanical with quartz.
Too big, as usual with Swatch. should have been max 42 mm diameter, preferably 39, and max L2L of 45. When are they gonna realize people dont want oversized ridiculous looking watches anymore?
I have all the same issues as you. Also with mine the GMT hand moves slightly when I push the crown back in which is annoying. Takes a few attempts to get it right.
What is the point of this video? You havent said who it's made by. Oh i see, you want me to click the affiliate link don't you. Get f***ed. Now where is that button where I ask yt not to refer this channel again.
If that watch includes an hourly chime function and it is louder than a modern Casio, it is definitely an improvement over Casio. I bought a new Casio and the watch must be held up to the ear in a quiet room in order to hear it. That is not acceptable.
I’ve a number of both auto and quartz watches in my rotation. It doesn’t matter snit to me that a quartz watch should need to tick more than once a second.
My oldest F-91W, bought in 1991, says 'Assembled in Korea' on the back. I'd always assumed it was a genuine one, but now I'm not so sure. It also has no 'u' under 'resist'.
Its much more modern looking than Casio! I like how they have hidden the button functions in the minute lines. Alarm is missing but though, I guess today's world you use your phone for that.
Solar doesn't actually need much light. Soo little light that 5 hours in the sun is a full charge. Even in a dimly lit room, solar will still get enough light to fully charge the battery after 50-400 hours....a full charge being 4 months of power. That means even in dim indoor light, worst case scenario, it takes 15 days to get 4 months worth of charge. So you are essentially always running at a net positive gain of power storage even in pretty dim conditions. So you don't even really need to put them in a window to charge them, they just need to be set out anywhere there is light.
I purchased my Yema Rallygraph, Blue dial. I absolutely love it. I too noticed a color difference on the dial being off white from that shown in video. I now wonder exactly what color white is used. Oxford white is my guess. What's yours?
Hi. I had a bladder flush at the hospital today. it was very enjoyable. I've been discharged but I'd like to continue with the flushes at home. I've bought the necessary equipment online, I just need someone to administer the flushes. It's quite simple. I can send you an instructional video. Just practice for a day or so and then we'll arrange a suitable day and time. My name is Derek and I have got a moustache.
Doesn't make any difference for me as if you aren't wearing it for a few weeks as i think many would who have a good collection then it will still stop when you next pick it up. So has no benefit for me. Probably costs more too apart from that there no difference.
