Hey @Chic87Sims I do a LOT of Medieval building in the Sims. Mostly houses but there is a Monastery, a Roman bath and 2 villages on my gallery if you ever need anything - Jesj7. Maybe one village, dont remember of I uploaded the 2nd one. I will do your challenge, Sounds fun and I need new ideas, the houses are getting old (no pun intended) LOL
Hey! Ive meant to respond to your comment for so long, but.. adhd and all lol. And your response got lost in the notification feed. But about the windows...personally...i wouldnt even worry about it. Ive found that while the shutters being inside is more historically accurate, it tends to block things like bunk beds. I love these videos though! ❤
This was so beautiful to watch!! All the work you put into this, I can only imagine! Before I went to watch this video, I actually sat down to rewatch every single episode since the beginning to really get the ambiance of all the family. It is such an incredible thing to see, all the kudos to you! Edward and Joan have come so far together. The Wainwrights, the Stringfellows, Sawyer’s descendants, Eleanor her unconventional family, Rune’s adopted children being present because they are also a part of this, Edith and her husband and kids,… the way I am so attached to them all. 🥰🥹 Runar and Riona would be mighty proud. ( the little toddler ghost kinda broke me) The only question I have is , was the distant cousin Serril a descendant of Runar’s late brother Ronen? I remember he had a family as well and two episodes back we saw a Maura Squire who I think is the former wife of Ronen II. It are a few generations back, and it is natural somehow to loose track of family after all this time.
dancing in a fairy circle huh? if that does not have consequences down the road.... XD that was really sweet and no worries of course the sims doing what they want, thats the way it is XD it was a beautyfull piece and you did a wonderfull job editing the whole thing. on a different note, my first sim from the whimsy challenge managed to find a money fruit (seed for the money tree) in the trash on his second day of existing
This was sensational! The music really sold the cohesion of it all and I can't begin to imagine the amount of work you put in. I loved the cameos from characters we haven't seen from a while. It truly was a movie. Standing ovation for you!
I am sorry for some inconsistencies in this video - the sims kept changing clothes and doing all kinds of crazy things. There were so many of them on the lot that they kept walking in front of what I was trying to film, etc. Still, hope you can sit back and relax and enjoy the ambiance!
I absolutely adore the sound of your baby in the background! Don’t change a thing 😂. It reminds me of playing sims 3 with my baby beans (now teens and young adults lol) on my lap
I don’t like that 🤣 I never pronounce anything correctly even when I do try to, but I definitely prefer it as just an alternative spelling for “Fox”. It has so much good energy!
It wasn't on the gallery, because I had been playing offline to avoid updating my game, lol. It is as of today though! You will have to search with CC filters on: chic87sims
whooo a new episode ^^ Bideh really is a handsome guy <3 and chuck....well he is chuck XD if you want to avoid random ppl to whoohoo in public you can turn the autonomy down in whicked whims I am definitely interested to see where this is going ^^
Again, watching you play made me boot up my game and challenge too; and we had a freak fire in the basement! It took aaaaages before anyone noticed, and we lost one of our daughters (aged 9) to it. ,_, Gosh darnit! x''') Not your fault, but also a little? <:D
Yay for our new lil Spare! I love Flossie's whole look - she's giving at least secondary character status, if not a main. Definitely something about her. I really like how Faith's story turned out in this ep and wild to think that we may be looking at Frances's first heir soon! Loved Edward's makeover too - I love that the nectar story had threaded right through till now and how you could then use the bigger dowry situation for Faith to marry slightly up. Will be very interesting to see what happens with our two new main couples. I've said it before but I love how creative you are. When I look at how many years have passed for the Squires it blows my mind a bit at how much work you've put in. And that fact that you didn't just do a generation and give up on it is something to be celebrated. The way some of these kids can track parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins... great grandparents... it's amazing. Thank you <3
Everytime I see a new video of this challenge, I make a jump of happiness! The Squire children are growing up!! Faith, Frances and Flossie are all so cute! And welcome little Fawkes! He really inherited the Squire looks. Faith and Charles are going to be a very passionate couple and Frances is such a gentleman with Cassia! I love how crazy they all are about each other. Soon a whole new generation will join our family and I cannot wait to see them. Seeing Flossie with one hand could be a potential story line! ( I mean I know sims technical wise it won't be possible) but what if Flossie loses her hand in an accident? Making her marriage strained and that is why she possibly ends up without children? I know it is sad, but definitely can lead to drama. Maybe it is good to try to explore some disabled people from the past. And with her generous trait she would make a great nun. ( maybe a hospital nurse?) I am in the process of building with your shells. I am loving the shell challenge, it keeps the imagination going ;-)
yay she's back ^^ just came home from work, startet the computer and there it is a new episode it looks quite well at the moment doen't it there is no need to apologise for the noises the little guy makes ^^ its just adorable to hear him he wants to play too
So wait...if Frances is getting 'perks' because of Edward's link with the royals, what can Flossie get? Can she be a lady in waiting or a maid at the palace. Maybe that's why she gets married but doesn't have children because who has time to have babies when you're serving the royals day and night. Maybe her husband can work there too in the stables or something so at least they are together. Maybe she goes with Edward on one of his trips and decides she wants to work in the palace after seeing it and leaves to train there. Given that we'll be focusing on Frances soon and his story continuing the line, it could be a nice plotline to put her on and know she'll be okay there. And hold up! So does Faith's plot armour mean she can't die during childbirth either? That is bonkers because her babies can, right? Just a hint, before I move people out of a house, I save the house in the gallery so IF it gets emptied of all the furniture for some reason I can just go in the gallery and plop the fully furnished house back down on the lot again. It's happened enough times to me too.
That's a great suggestion for Flossie. I am still kind of feeling some kind of murder mystery, though lol there are so many possibilities. I will probably have to add a sim for her story because I don't even think there are any teen boys that aren't close relations that are still single right now. For Faith, I haven't decided how to handle her child birth. it would seem silly to start doing death rolls for her now. But I think her children will definitely be able to die. GREAT tip about the gallery but I barely remember to upload anything even when I really need to. I am trying to get better about all that stuff, but suffice to say that improvement is progressing very slowly, LOL!
Question can we use my sim for the other one? It would be a bit of dark humor as I’m just transitioning from homelessness to my first apartment. Ok wow this literally sounds like me , that’s how I’m trying to get income is by selling my art jewelry candles etc. I gotta try this! I’ve always wanted to make my own tiny home! As someone that was tho, some do have savings, but not much. $40 was what I started off with. I used to live at the park and sleep on the jungle gym. I loved being in nature, but it really sucks when it’s winter. When the weather was shit I’d go to the library. The other good thing about the park is that they let me use the bathroom. But lately they don’t caz some more homeless people moved in- that’s bs. The store across the street still lets us though. It sucks being pregnant on the streets caz you risk being a sex offender if you get caught going to the bathroom. But ya, I just got a place!!! My first ever apartment!!! I still gotta hold my sign tho. And for anyone that only knows stereotypes, while SOME people have addictions, MOST actually don’t and just keep to themselves. The Supreme Court of the USA has just made it officially ILLEGAL to be homeless now though. Fucked up right. That means I can get arrested for fleeing my abuser. It makes me furious.
Proud of you! You show resilience. I am grateful I have never been legitimately homeless, but I had a really rough couple of years where I slept on a couch in a house with only one heated room (we have very cold winters in Ohio). I didn't have a real bed for almost five years. I had a lot of health problems and racked up $15,000 in medical debt. I was sick and miserable and could barely afford to eat, but I had a roof and that's something. I could rant all day about the US and the ridiculousness that goes on. Poverty is not a crime and neither is homelessness. I look back on that time in my life when I was living in poverty and honestly don't know how it didn't end up worse for me. It was so hopeless for a while. It was incredibly challenging to get from there to where I am today, and sadly, there was a good amount of LUCK that went into that. My story could have easily been incredibly different. I think, having lived that, I am able to look at it from a perspective that a lot of privileged Americans cannot. A lot of people just think, like you said, that people have done it to themselves and "deserve it" and that's sooooooo wrong.
first ^^ I am so interested to see what Ade will get up to I also startet this challenge recently because you mentioned it and it did sound interesting. we*ll see how long i stick with it ^^ uhhh whicked whims XDD if you find the animations too long, you can change the time it takes to "finish" ;-) you said you have snb Bills installed, that is why the shower does not really work in the off the grid lots, if you pay for water then it works pretty sure you had the same problem in the New World challenge (btw how is Helias doing? ) ^^
Ahhh I bet you're right. That dang bills mod always ends up coming out but apparently I forgot why lol I think this challenge will be easy to stick with because the future generations are so cool. I'm particularly interested in Gen 3. The dramaaaa.
Thanks! I did find that in my other playthrough but need to remember to do it for Decades because it's kind of important for the side household process.
You forgot to roll for Kofi’s wife last time after birth. I stopped playing it was so glitchy and unplayable. Why don’t you do it like this: if you roll a one, you roll again and even numbers mean 1 child and odd numbers mean no kids?
I’m so happy my grandbaby lives! Interesting that she will marry William Orphan, he knew her mom for a while as Zahia was also in the orphanage with him! Mb he can tell her stuff about her mom!? Oh n btw I stopped playing the sims caz it became unplayable. You should try Echoes of the Plum Grove !also what is a shell challenge? You forgot to roll for the mom btw.
I did think about them being in the orphanage together. It's nice that it came full circle like that. The shell challenge is where I give you a blank shell, just walls, and you have to make a functional lot out of it without changing the walls. There's a video on the channel for it.
Hi chic it’s been a while! It’s Elizabeth (Liz) maker of the Orphans! Congrats! Here is a not so fun fact for y’all, the concept of the Grim Reaper actually dates back to the Black Death! His scythe is because most of Europe were farmers so he reaps souls like crops. Depicted as a cloaked skeleton with scythe in hand. Also you can use my sim to look after the orphans, but my request is that she love and care for them unlike my orphanage experience. Also can you give her a role? Evil hens btw are made when you take good care of the animal but have a shit relationship with it. If you have both positive, you get a golden hen.
Hey you! How are you doing?! I really thought we would have a big need for the orphanage by now. I mean, I guess it's a good thing we don't - but we can always add more orphans ourselves lol
hey chic, great to see you again ^^ and soooo cute the comentary of your little one and the sounds of the doggos <3 those new sims are all very beautyfull, so many talented simmers in our midst I dont think there is a vote needed, lets just get those two married funny how times change, at first it always was noooo they cant die and now it is sorry gonna kill you my bad ^^ and another handsome young Wainwright men, they are all so pretty If the Arrows sit on the table they could be sold at a yard sale too, i mostly do this with fertilizer as that just slots onto the table also. maybe just try that
11 kiddos! Lol I finally revamped my baby try system and only roll a d10 with ten being the no babies roll and they can have one. Loved the wedding! Looked very much normal. Soooooo sad to lose Fable. I love that name. Glad Joan is pregnant again!
That's a good idea, too. You've all given me a lot of options for how to revise it to make more sense. Now I just have to land on one to implement in my own playthrough.
Well, it's 11 pregnancy 'tries' technically. Whether those children survive is another story with the death rolls system for each age group. But I do like that suggestion. I use a d12, think I'll just axe 12 and make that zero. Good idea.
A second channel sounds good! And I'm also a plant lover! I don't have as many as you (i don't have that much space) but I'm always rearranging them to get more space. Recently I rehomed a monstera which was getting so big which gave me space for 3 or 4 smaller plants 🤭
Space is always an issue but moving here did give me more space for plants. I also have better light here. However... I am now in the "find out" stage, as I got a lot of babies (cuttings and small plants) over the spring/summer and they're either not small anymore or are not going to be small much longer and I'm like oops, now what... lol I need to invest in more grow lights so I can utilize my dining room space. And I want to get a plant cabinet for my bedroom... After that? There will literally be no space left. Monsteras are no joke. My monstera deliciosa is in my office but will need to move soon due to space. My adonsonii and thai constellation are in my big living room but not for long. May have to swap places and then after that, idk, that's a bridge I'll cross later lol.
Yeah I think I got to 1410 or sth and then I have to admit I stopped because Chic stopped. 🤣🤣 I might just play a few years today. This is definitely a long haul challenge but it's cool. I like it.
