Absolutely beautiful install! I love the grill lights. They sit high but have double color alternating flash. This looks like a very professional install all around.
I know this is way later, but I have an 09 Sierra and am looking to buy a set of these to just replace my fog lights. How do you have them wired in order to change modes? Thanks!
Can you shoot a video of how you fabricated the read deck light bar bracket ?? I have 2015 Silverado and can't mount my STL 800. I know you said it's a custom bracket but it would help a lot if I could see how you ran it or if you had to weld anything ? Is it one solid bar all the way across ?
Looks like a retention style gun holster near driver seat mounted to your console.....is it? Also curious to what state I am a fire fighter emt in florida and we can only run lights no sirens
way too much white, especially to the rear. It's against NFPA to have white to the rear and it's just blinding to traffic coming up behind you. It's a great install, I'd just rather see more red up front and on the sides then red and amber to the rear.
This guy Grill lights are on a custom bracket that runs the width of the grill. Console is the 8" Angled series from HAVIS. Full equipment list is in the video's description.
The bar in this video is Speed Tech Lights. I've since upgraded to Feniex. If you have the option Feniex is definitely the way to go. I just uploaded a new setup video that shows the Feniex traffic advisor.
Louisiana Silver Mine is programmed with Wail as T1, Yelp as T2, and Phaser as T3 with the air horn as the push button for each. I can try to get a video on it this weekend.
SouthernFirefighter That is how I mine set up too. the only thing I don't get is that the paper info sheet that came with mine says you can program the 2 manual tones spots with different tones besides the wail, but i can't change my 2 manual tones. What about yours?
Louisiana Silver Mine had a few different ones but nothing I liked beside the Wails. You have to hold the button down as you click the scan lock in the back.
SouthernFirefighter I just want to use the mechanical in one of the manual spots. was the mechanical tones one of the tones that worked in your manual spot?
SuperKiller177 It works well, haven't had any issues with it. it's bright day or night, just doesn't have the patterns or functions I like in a light. I just ordered an upgrade. Switching it out with a Feniex one. I wanted a dual color one that would allow me to take the white out at night.
Don Hanson Yes, my responses require me to frequently clear intersections. The area I cover also has a major highway in it which we regularly have to cross over. Since this video I have added Feniex Rocker Panels to add intersection warning. There is a new video up on my channel showcasing the new setup.
Paul Atherton That's a product of piecing this build together over a couple years. I had the siren long before any of these lights, the switchbox, or the console.
Paul Atherton Console is the 8-inch angled series from Havis. I ordered through the Strobes N' More website. (www.strobesnmore.com/8-Inch-Angled-Series-for-Trucks-SUVs_p_3907.html) I will agree that the white can be a bit overpowering during the night, however flashing white is the main attention grabber during the day time's intense sunlight. I am looking into upgrading to dual color in the rear to allow a cutout or "nighttime" mode like the all red modes on the front and sides.
first response Oklahoma The holster mounted to the console supplies a safe place to store the weapon while driving or sitting in the vehicle that does not get blocked or covered by the seatbelt.
Takedowns do great. The flood mode on the visor bar with the 180° lenses combined with the Cannons in the fogs light up everything from the side mirrors of the truck forward. Extreamly bright.
These lights were added just to the inside of each fog bulb. The factory bulbs and wiring have not been altered and is still functional. I had a professional shop drill the spaces for the lights and install them.
