This is the only place on the internet where Wisbech isn't mentioned in a bad light. Also you taught my dumb ass how to sort my trains out! Thanks, excellent explanation 👍
With the crossing line beeing ugly when connected to the main line: Just build the crossing line so that it snaps parallel to the main line (not merge), build it and then delete the snapping and merge it instead. It is also not always perfect but for this kind of climbing angle difference in this video it should fit perfectly.
First things first. I think the issue of resetting the clock when using “full loan any/full load all” has already been addressed since I have no longer been experiencing trains never leaving stations. Second, you explanation of this tool is so disorganized that I do not get it. You click on something, then you delete it, click on something else, keep saying one think over and over instead of going systematically step by step. Third, I believe it´s fair to use standard English on You Tube. Even though I am not a native speaker your accent (assumably Scottish) is hurting my ears. The way you pronounce the word “unbunch” made me stop watching the video.
Why don’t you instead run you fast track in the middle of the slow track at all times (even in the station) You would just need a “pass through” track between both platforms on either side and problem solved no more need for slowing down junctions or?
@@maximilianbraun3908 If you're referring to the UDUD configuration? I'm not sure why some lines are like that. I guess it must go back to when they were first built or upgraded. I think the WCML is quite unique using UDUD configuration, most 4 track lines are UUDD.
anyone having issues where when resetiing vehicals back to store mouse dissipears and acts like youre pressing left click and moving around to view the map?
is there any way to convert mod packs into TPF2? most of the mods made by SD70M (like the SD45 Pack and U23B Pack) wont work when doing this. edit: i also think the converter is discontinued, idrk tho since urban games changed the system of TPF2 judging from comments
This channel is criminally under-subscribed. The level of genuine information in these videos is excellent, following your mission statement of using gaming to explain principles. I don’t even play Transport Fever but I’ve watched a few videos just out of interest. Very well produced too. And knowledge is spot on. S&T Engineer. NW&C.
Thank you so much. I would like to do so much more with this channel. I have only recently switched from gaming to informational videos, but a lot of time is taken up with my Rail Focus channel
as others have said, the pace is greatly appreciated. i have also resorted to using stations as a ruler. it's crazy to me that in a game entirely about logistics, there are no built in measuring tools!
Just out of curiosity would you ever be doing Ealing Broadway and the signals for between Oxford and reading are not working sadly i was trying to a line from Worcester to Oxford with a gwr service haha i love your attention to detail and this map is just so immersive i love it and congratulations on the hard work
Thanks for this! Signals are my nightmare even a few years into playing the game! Also, Enhancer for RU-vid let me flip the video horizontally, so I didn't even have to deal with the lines being the wrong way :)
It's possible to place signals on single track section, but need to face each other right in the midway of the single track part. Basically, it overlaps the signal blocks of both directions. When a train occupies the single track, it means it is occupying the singal block between two signals of the same direction. In other words, it will tell the trains from the opposite direction that one of the overlapping signal block is occupied so they are not allowed to enter the track. This helps train flow a bit, but you will see trains from one direction will wait until all the trains are cleared from the opposite direction.
The only option with single track sections is to place signals at passing loops. Single track working with multiple trains can be tricky. If you have a single track section branching off a 2 track section you normally just have to place signals on the 2 track section. I've had issues using stations of single track sections, as a station acts as a block section and the game has allowed a train to proceed even though there was a train in the station heading in the opposite direction
@@Infrastructure-Nerd if u have stations on single track section then this is not applicable since it essentially creates multiple signal blocks on the single track. what I mean is placing two signals in the midway on the single track and that's it, one for each direction and make them face each other. This creates signal block overlapping regardless which direction the train is coming from.
@@zsm5833 If you place a signal on a single line section it will allow trains to enter the block section and in that instance you could end up with 2 trains facing each other if the line is bi directional.
@@Infrastructure-Nerd it wont, when a train enter the single track the signal block from that direction is occupied, since the signal block is overlapped in that single track section, trains from other directions acknowledged that overlapped section is occupied by that train so they wont enter. when you can try on your own, but this trick was mentioned on reddit way before TF2 was launched but still applicable to.
Thank you! Very helpful tutorial. I just did this with the class 313 and it worked but for some reason when I try the Class 101 or Russian ER-200 after renaming the files they don't show up in the mod selection screen do you know why this might be?. EDIT - nevermind lol it appears that when you rename the file it must end with the number 3
