Teacher, parent and carp angler. Like many others out there, juggling work, family life and a passion for angling comes with many difficulties but I try to make the most of every opportunity I can to get some fish on the bank. Join me, along with friends and family, on my carping adventures where I'll be providing open, honest information about the bait and tactics I use.
I will also be using this as an opportunity to learn about photography and videography. Hopefully my videos will get better over time as I learn new skills in video editing.
Good morning.. Firstly great video & thanks for sharing! I'm actually booked on this peg later today with my daughter & wondering if you mind sharing how many wraps was it that you found your 8ft spot? Many thanks & thanks again for sharing! 👍🎣
Apologies for the late response...I didn't get an email notification about your comment. How did you get on in the end? I I know it's too late but the 8 for spot was 20 wraps directly between leg 6 and 7 - an extra wrap past what the boundary says on the map.
It’s got better each time I’ve been. Think I’ve had 19 fish in the 3 trips I’ve done - only 1 has been under 20, 5 have been 30s, 1 was over 40 and the rest 20s. All cracking looking fish too. You won’t regret getting a ticket on there 👌
Hi mate. Yes I have treated them using a cork sealant. I saw a few videos of fly fisherman using a PVA based sealant on their rods so gave it a go. Had no issues at all since doing it.
MEGA result mate!!!!!!! Fair play, that is the lake record and the lakes first 40. I said I thought it would do one this year. Great bit of angling 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks mate. Couldn't have asked for a better start on the lake; it's just a shame I won't be able to get back down until the summer. I remember you saying you thought it would do a 40 when I spoke to you. I weighed it a good few times to check as I couldn't believe it haha. Fantastic news for lake to be fair!!!
Yeah unfortunately I dropped the camera microphone as soon as I got there and damaged it so had to rely solely on the built in camera microphone...wind was horrific for the first part of the session.
