You're right. We didn't see much of Ravenna as this video was just showing the transport links. That comment was related to the area around the station. Next time we will showcase the town too.

Love your vlogs they are very comprehensive and informative. You mention in the vlog that the land train stops at the vineyard. Can you get off and sample the wines and get back on later? I see the journey goes on to a beach with a lovely hotel. Do you have a set time there or just get off and catch a later land train?

You just catch the land train when it returns. The driver will tell you how long. Yes you can get off at the beach and hotel. The same applies. The driver keeps running the sane route all day and you can just stay as long as you want and catch the next one. Hope that helps. Ray.

Hi Paul. The breakfast was OK. A bit limited on choice and we went late so it had been hammered but we had enough to eat. I’ve used that Holiday Inn pre-cruise before. I also used Uber to get from that hotel to the Mayflower terminal. Uber cannot identify that hotel easily. Thankfully, the driver was good about it and was able to find us and everything went OK. Very convenient hotel albeit outdated.

Hi Jenny. We had a low number tender ticket so we were one of the first off the ship when tendering started. If you talk with customer services they may be able to supply you a low number or if you are a suite guest or high ranking member of the loyalty programme that may also help you get a low number. If not, recommend you queue up as soon as the ship arrives and just find a spot with quick access to the queue before it forms. Ray.
Very nice, thank you! We checked into packages through Fly & Stay where you can fly (or just drive to hotel) and get 1 night plus long-term parking for your cruise if you'd like to do that, which we plan to do. Our rate (just under $300.00 ) includes the one night at hotel, plus 10 days of parking while we're on our cruise, plus transportation to and from the cruise terminal. We appreciated your video to get an idea of what the hotel and the area looks like, this was quite helpful.

Hi Esther. Sadly we didnt stay in Ravenna so can't really recommend anywhere. We stayed post cruise in Bologna at the Royal Carlton Hotel and it was magnificent. We have a post cruise video review of it, just in case you decide to fly into Bologna rather than Venice. You could easily travel the 1 hour train journey to Ravenna on departure day. Hello, great video. We will be on this ship in a few weeks and the ship gets to Santorini at 2pm and leaves at 11pm. Any thoughts? I have Fibromyalgia so standing for too long can get a bit painful.
Hi there Bellarosa. Our video relied on the fact we arrived early. I'm unsure what sort of wait you'd have around 1-2pm, although at the end of the video before we tendered back there was quite a long queue. If your condition prevents you from standing too long, I would recommend you consider a cruiseline excursion to Oia and back. They tender you to a different slipway and bus you to Oia and back. That would completely negate to need for the cablecar. Hope that helps. Take care. Ray.

Hi Paul. Thanks for the compliment on the video. Glad you enjoyed it. We picked up the bus tour after we left the market area. When you exit the terminal turn left and walk up the road about 300yds. The marina is on the left, market on the right and just after the market there's a quaint little square on the right. The bus tour starts there. Hope that helps. Hi Christine. We got the hoho bus straight there in the morning. We spent about 3 hours there in total. Spent about 1 hour on the hoho bus to the Acropolis stop and queuing for tickets. It was a hot day, so after we carried on the bus tour and then they transferred us back to the cruise port in Piraeus. Hope that helps but you can choose how long you want to stay determined by your ship departure. The bus tours stop at 6pm I believe. We didn't go into the theatre but the theatre of dionysius is featured in that video. Stay tuned as we will soon upload a fuller hoho bus video of Athens which includes a walk through Athens as well.
