Once in a while I like to listen to this song as a reminder of simpler times and a moment of escapism. I was going through some tough times with my family and it felt at times I had a dad who didn't want to be involved with me and my life and this song always brought tears to my eyes in feeling some relief in a way. It reminded me that even though my dad never spent time like he could have my grandfather became more of a father figure in just emotionally being there for me where my dad it didn't feel like that. Sadly my grampa passed away in 2022 and since then the relationship hasn't been really good with my own dad, especially with him starting a new family and expecting me to accept them as they are when he didn't accept me in the beginning. This is me 31 years old looking back at everything in maturity and not with those teenager eyes. If you stumble upon this song for the first time, and it reminded you of your own life, don't worry. Everything will be ok. You got this, be with people who value you for you and not selectively when it benefits them only.
