Well that looks good in theory. In practice it's totally different. You will have on the same tray unstable high glasses (pints) of Amstel/Peroni (extremely unstable) plus a plethora of wine glasses and cocktail glasses. Placing a tray on a table is very unprofessional and banned in most respected restaurants, but allowed in pubs (anyway customers will complain). Unfortunately there's no trick or short learning curve. You must practice and practice (even at home) until you'll be a maestro in tray carrying.
For the newcomers, just drop the fear over spilling drinks, it's going to happen, cannot escape it, so just carry as much as possible. Sooner or later you'll find what suits you best and become amazing. Coming from a 4 month old server, was petrified the first day.
The frothy parts decants in beer, just be patient. people that get upset with beer foam usually don't know it preserves the flavor and aroma of craft draft beers, and don't know it will decant it liquid.
just spilled a btl of hein, fanta and a glass of pink gin and now im learning how to not do that again, none went onto them but it was all over the table lmfao
@@Loowee__ bro i resonate with u, i broke my left wrist a while ago and it makes it way harder. best advice i have is go to the gym and take it really slow. ever since i started going to the gym my wrist pain has slowly faded away trust me its worth it.
@@labber7772 yeah ive been doing mobility exercises too, it’s been probably around half a year since with no improvement but in 2 months or so of some strength training for my wrist specifically when I’m in the gym it’s already helped I broke my wrist in an arm wrestle ;)
No pour it normally. You’ll have to wait for the fiz to go down but it’ll make the customer not be bloated so they will order more drinks in the long run
Yeah that’s cool with empty ones but if you got a tray of like 7-8 different drinks, ciders filled to the brim, bottles as well and carrying it through a busy pub through the car park, over thick and inconsistent gravel, into the beer garden. F that
i work part time as a waiter and tbh when the tray is that full i carry with 2 hands, the classy look of the one hand carry is not enough to risk the embaressment of dropping 10 drinks on the floor, or worse on a table/guest.
Thank you so much this is so helpful my first real day as a server is today and Im really nervous about carrying the drinks to the table and the method where u rest it on the table looks very helpful
The foam keeps the beer fresh. It is nothing bad. Americans and English people think they are getting scammed when they get a beer with a foam, but you have a line on the glass for 0.5 or 0.3 and that should be the actual beer. So no way of getting scammed, you even get more because of that, because the foam is also a beer and when the foam goes down it's becoming a beer. 😁 In the czech republic or germany the foam is like 1/5 of the beer.
