Why are so many Italian men THAT handsome??? Moroder was a real looker & that accent is to d** for. Can't tell you how many times I've seen someone really handsome like Moroder and found out they were Italian and chuckled and thought, "Of course he is Italian. Why didn't I immediately figure he was?"
My grandmother loved Korla Pandit. She owned and played a Wurlitzer theater organ herself, and we used to see him play occasionally at Ken's Melody Inn in Los Altos, California. I have some Korla memorabilia that he autographed to us, including a copy of this song, the Rose of Descanso. I also remember Bill Watts, an organist who performed there frequently. Gosh, I was a really little kid back then. Old time pizza and pipes!
Yakihiro Takahashi has been a great musician and drummer!! In '80 years YMO has been a mythical band in all' the world!!! With Rydeen and much more.... Great Takahashi, rest in peace!🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏.
Mysteries at the Museum did a story about this very interesting & creative man. The story is featured in Mysteries of the Unknown S3 E 4 first aired Monday August 26, 2024.
I didn't know what that is, so I looked it up - they don't mention anything about Korla on the synopsis of that episode. Could it be a different thing? What is Mysteries of the Museum vs Mysteries of the Unknown?
It was probably 1962 or 63 it was one of the musicmaster series either a 500 or 600 series you can get these sounds as a plugin on your computer the gforce mtron mk 2 an the mtron pro the mk 2 has all of the mellotron mk1 and 2 leads rhythms an accompaniments and the chamberlain stuff the music was done by a lot of the lawrence welk orchestra
Love this. Hypnotic, especially for the housewives at home washing dishes and ironing clothes while they watched Korla play his exotic sounds. I think I can see that dancing guy's junk. Sexy!
He made music then that only synthesizers make today - such an entertaining, talented guy who was canceled from television because he was accused of hypnotizing housewives. A black man born in the U.S., he overcame the racism of the day by passing as an Indian. Lovely. Ty for sharing this.
√ I've been recently shopping for a Behringer 2600 (modeled after the synth in this video) √ I'm a huge Stevie Wonder fan √ I watched a video of Red Foxx last night on the Flip Wilson Show This video checks so many boxes I wonder if it's A.I. generated. LOL
This guy was a knd of novelty act in the early days of television. I was sort of transfixed by his eyes as he played to the camera, As a musician, he was okay. Pretty square.
Yeah he played around there a lot, based out of Santa Rosa after he moved up from LA (I think in the 60s.) They spent a bried period in San Bernardino outside of LA in the late 50s (from some photos I have here.)
